Here’s Happy Hour after performing at the 2015 Del Close Marathon!

“The Fringe Parodies” is brought to you by the Happy Hour Improv, starring Anthony Barnaby, Chip Nash, Maxim Lardent and Mark Valentin. And what a happy hour they provide! The idea is that the audience decides which of the Fringe entries will be skewered. When we attended, the dart landed on “The Family,” which hadn’t been seen by anybody, save one audience member, including the troupe of actors. Using the description from the Festival program and one stand-out issue (as remembered by that lone patron), they presented a version, which may not have been faithful, or even slightly accurate, to the original. But this group, aided by the lighting and sound talents of Lysander Abadia and Dave Clark, provided us a fast-paced, made-up-on-the-spot, hilarious rendition that was definitely top-notch. Every year at every Fringe Festival, no matter how hard you try to see everything, there's always that one show you end up missing. This year, Happy Hour is changing that. Every night we'll randomly select one of the 14 Fringe shows and perform it for you exactly as it was intended, armed with nothing more than that show's program. No, we haven't read the scripts. No, we haven't rehearsed. No, we're not "familiar with the way theatre works." Yes, we are confident that these shows will go without a hitch, and will be completely indistinguishable from the real thing (more or less). Worry no more about what show you might miss; Happy Hour's got you covered.

IT'S TIME TO CHARITY! Happy Hour teamed up with the Las Vegas improv community to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in Nevada, where thousands of children are treated each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.

On November 2nd, 2013, we took part of a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with Extra Life by producing "Happy Hour Improv: Time To Charity," a 25-hour long gaming livestream featuring the entire Happy Hour cast and special guests from the Las Vegas improv community. Be it sports, fighting, puzzle, or horror, you can bet we'll be just as awful and entertaining as always, and this time it's for a beautiful cause. It's our sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support us with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to our chosen hospitals. Last year, Extra Life raised more than 2 million dollars to save kids, but in 2013 their goals, just like the needs of the kids they serve, are much, much higher. We can't do this without your help.
