Rosemary Rosie Sullivan never had the easiest life. Growing up between unpaid bills, heated family arguments, and a lot of anger, she learned early on that you had to work hard for everything in life.
While her mother worked in the school kitchen to keep the family afloat, Rosie spent every spare minute there, too. Soon she became more and more passionate about cooking. Between pots and freshly baked bread she found a place where the noise at home fell silent for a while.
After graduating from high school, she started working as a cook without hesitation. She worked tirelessly, took every shift she could get, and saved every penny she earned, always with just one goal in mind: to open her own restaurant one day.
In 2024, that dream finally came true. With the opening of “By Rosie” she not only fulfilled her greatest wish but also brought a breath of fresh air to the Los Angeles dining scene. Her creative dishes, inspired by a wide variety of cuisines from around the world and selfmade recipes, quickly turned the small restaurant into an insider’s secret.
Despite everything life had thrown her way, Rosie never lost her smile. She welcomes everyone with open arms, believes in second chances, and is firmly convinced that a good meal and a kind word can make even the worst day just a little bit better.
