Hello everyone!

It has been over four years since I came up with two-colored buttercups from polymer clay,  I’m blind in this technique many other color-combinations, but the most delicious of course well, it was called “Strawberry marshmallows in chocolate.” This master class will sculpt the same colors, from pink and chocolate polymer clay.

Materials: Jacquard Pearl Ex Stamp Pads (Sepia, Gold, Copper) Stamps (swirl from Stampa Rosa, checkerboard from Rubber Stampede, all others from Impress Me Jacquard Pearl Ex Pigments (Duo BlueGreen, Duo Green-Yellow)

Hole punches, Soft paintbrush, Needlenose pliers, Scissors Memory wire by Remembrance™ Sandpaper 200-400 grit or fine sanding  block Beads (black, amber and turquoise plastic faceted from the Beadery, anodized metal tubes from Legendary Beads) Colored wire by Fun Wire™ PolyShrink™ plastic/Lucky Squirrel (Black) Heat embossing gun or oven

Instructions: 1. Sand both sides of a sheet of black PolyShrink™ plastic evenly with the fine grade sandpaper. Sand in both directions, lengthwise and widthwise. The pigments and inks will become embedded into the surface when the plastic shrinks.

2. Stamp one side of the sheet with a checkerboard pattern using the Sepia colored Jacquard Pearl Ex Stamp Pad. Let dry.

3. On the other side of the sheet, dust the surface lightly with the two Jacquard Pearl Ex Pigments. Use a soft brush and randomly alternate the two colors. The color will intensify when the plastic shrinks.

4. On top of the colored side, stamp some single motifs with the Gold and Copper Jacquard Stamp Pads. For this bracelet we used 3 different motifs and made 17 charms.

5. Cut out the shapes that you want to use. We used a square with slightly bulging sides and rounded corners. Remember that your shape will be about 45% of its original size.

6. Punch a hole in the plastic using a hole punch. We used just a round hole punch but hole punches come in many different shapes so you may want to experiment. The holes will maintain their shape even when they shrink.

7. If using a heat embossing tool, lay the piece on a flat surface that won’t be damaged by the heat embossing tool. A thick piece of wood is good. Heat the piece by aiming the tool at the plastic. The plastic will begin to move and curl when you heat it. If you feel it is shrinking too fast, hold the tool a little further away. When the piece is completely shrunk, lay flat and allow it to cool. If using an oven, put the piece of plastic on a Teflon sheet in a regular or toaster oven no hotter than 300 to 350 degrees for approximately 3 minutes. 8. After the piece is cooled, sand the edges to smooth any rough areas. 9. Roll the edges of each piece onto the Copper or Gold stamp pad to get color on the edges.

10. To make the charms dangle from the wire, we used colored wire to make an extension that could be threaded onto the memory wire. Using a copper and a purple colored wire alternately, loop through the holes in the charms. Twist the wire around itself close together and close to the charm. On the other end make a loop that the memory wire will go through and twist the wire back on itself.

11. Cut the memory wire the length you want it and twist the end in a spiral to keep the beads from falling off.

12. Place the beads and charms onto the memory wire with any sort of pattern.

Materials

 David Tutera Shimmer Sheet  Mod Podge Vintage Wallpaper  David Tutera Tags  Lion Brand Yarn  Stamp set  Palm tree die  White cardstock  Espresso ink pad  Espresso cardstock  Scallop trim border punch  Circle framelits  Dimensionals adhesive  Liquid glue

Step One Cut white cardstock in half, and fold in half for card base. Step Two Cut espresso cardstock to 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” and adhere to card base. Step Three Cut patterned paper to 4” x 2-1/2”, cut edge with border punch, and adhere to 4 x 5-1/4″ piece of white cardstock. Step Four Stamp greeting. Step Five Tie Lion Brand yYrn around project layer and add to card front. Step Six Cut David Tutera chipboard tag with circle framelits and add to front of project with dimensional adhesive.

Makes: 3 Dozen Cookies Baking Time: 12 Minutes

Ingredients 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1 cup creamy peanut butter 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup strawberry preserves 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.

2. In a large bowl, cream sugar, butter, and peanut butter with an electric mixer on low speed. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well.

3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Press thumb into center of each cookie to make an indentation. Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of strawberry preserves. Sprinkle with peanuts, if desired.

You can even use an old, rusted muffin tin. You can use glitter, paper and even paint to bring your piece to life. Be sure to add plenty of details to your frame so it really stands out from a sea of boring decorative items.

Materials

 Muffin tin  Krylon Spray Paint – cream  Personal photos  Circle dies  Label Maker  Rosette dies  Glitter  Plaid Mod Podge – matte, glossy  Foam Brush  Darice stencil  Silver paint  Darice Sparkle Gold Tape  David Tutera Kraft Tags  Simplicity Silk Posies  Bias tape  Darice Embossing Folder  Circle punches, flower punch  Dimensional Foam circles  Aleene’s Tacky Glue  Ribbon  White ink

Step One Spray paint muffin tin in cream. Use Darice Stencil and silver paint to stencil branches/leaves on muffin tin.

Step Two Cover muffin tin with Mod Podge in matte and sprinkle with glitter.

Step Three Cut 12 photos into circles using circle die and die cutting machine. Make rosettes using rosette dies. Emboss David Tutera Kraft Tags and Darice embossing folder. Ink edges with white ink. Stack rosettes on embossed tags.

Step Four Using various circle punches, punch circles into Darice’s Sparkle Gold Tape. Use Mod Podge’s Glossy Accents on each circle to create a “faux” epoxy dot. Do the same with a few punched stars to use as accents. Once dry, adhere to various pictures and the tin.

Step Five Stack three dimensional foam circles three times in each muffin tin circle. Adhere rosette/pictures inside.

Step Six Use bias tape to create a hanger for the tin. Thread through circles. Tie various ribbons to the top right side. Adhere a button to the grey silk flower from Simplicity. Adhere to the center of ribbons.

Materials: Kreinik 3/8″ Trim (wired), any 3 colors Kreinik Cord in a color to match one of your trim colors Toggle clasp and ring, or other fastener with medium to large sized holes Scissors Needle Decorative beads with medium to large sized holes, if desired

Instructions 1. Make sure a small piece of tape is wrapped around the end of each piece of 3/8″ trim; this will keep the ends from separating as you work. 2. Measure your wrist or determine how long you want your bracelet to be. 3. Start braiding the 3 colors together, keeping the trim flat as you braid.

4. When you get to the end, fold two of your 3/8″ trim colors to the back, and wrap the cord tightly around them to secure (stitch in and out with the cord to make sure these two ends are secured together). Cut the taped ends off of these two, trimming as needed close to your wrapped area.
