personally u_u i will choose to ignore vast majority of moomin adaptations. including the anime and the newer 3d animated show and the moomins on the riviera movie (<- particularly irritating) (i havent read the comics so i have no thoughts on them) just because they are so tonally incorrect to me , not at all the same moomins in the ones in the novels . theyre too loud and childish and lack stillness and thoughfulness and sadness and bluntness of the novels that makes them so uniquely moomin to me
