Guess I could've gone more all-in on the prince part, but I wanted him to wear something more casual to show he's allowed to be relaxed and get his guards down overall, bc it's their special time, just him and Tadashi.
I don't watch olympics but I will use it as an excuse to dump all my figure skating tsukkiyama AU content here (pt 1/2)
Tsukishima: Painful perfectionist that wouldn't allow himself any technical mistakes. Does better in SP due to low stamina. Kinda hates ice (bc cold) but doesn't mind skating itself. Surprisingly good acting, too. Probably gets called "angel" or "cupid" or smth because hair + pretty face accentuated by subtle makeup.
Yamaguchi: Did gymnastics before coming to skating, thus, very flexible for a male athlere (thus the Biellmann spin). A slow starter - gets extremely nervous before the performance/in the beginning but gets into it along the way. Gives off this infectious, genuine joy.
Absolutely each other's no.1 fans, waiting outside the rink for hugs&congratzes. Despite this being a solo sport, can't imagine there being any rivalry between these two, either. They're genuinely happy for e/os success like it's they're own.
Tsukishima only wears contacts for performance / Yamaguchi only styles his hair (with ungodly amounts of wax) for performance lol

No, but seriously, I had so much fun with all the lil marine creature details, I really wanted him to look like this outworldly being, hope it worked
Also I do love the whole giving mermaids pretty things/shells, and thought it'd be fun to refer to that but do the reverse. Octoguchi collects rocks and shells he thinks Tsukki might be unfamiliar with, bc that seems to excite Tsukki and he loves seeing Tsukki excited! (As you guessed, Tsukishima is a big ol nerd here) (PS The size of the window is inaccurate. But I wanted more space.)
