This mod includes two major objects:
The memorial Plaque
The Niche (for slotting the plaque - mainly for the base game one)
⚠️The base game plaque must be slotted on the niche for sims to interact with the plaque.
The memorial plaque is available in two versions:
Base Game (no portrait)
Life & Death expansion pack required (with portrait)
⬇️The differences between the two versions:
🐹What does "is default urn/tombstone option" mean?
🐹It means it is an option that appears on your ghost sim's urn or tombstone⬇️
⬆️Only for Base Game version
(I cannot control how the plaques are arranged or showed up...)
⬆️No portrait - Base Game || With portrait - Life & Death pack needed. Each type comes with two style: stone and marble. The marble ones have a more reflective texture.
⬆️This is how the portrait will look like for the Life & Death ones
🐹the plaques are all in simlish because (a) I don't know what names to put, (b) I don't want to accidentally naming anyone... 🐹The names are mostly (a) variations of the word "Hamster", (b) Hajsdhjsaiwhd << random typos, (c) variations of the names of the characters from Game of Thrones... 🐹The Epitaph (longer texts) on the plaques are phrases from the song "Oh Danny Boy" and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", or copies of the generated Epitaph from the game.
⬆️you can have your sims take their own photo to be the portrait
⬆️there are blank ones available, also PSD files will be provided for inputting your own texts. Instruction and details further down this post.
HOW THIS WORKS:
Life & Death Version:
⬆️The Life & Death version will start like this when clicked on it. The "Assigned to" option will only appear if (1) someone a sim knows has passed away AND (2) a ghost sim cannot assign themselves
⚠️if a sim or ghost sim doesn't know anyone who has passed, only the "Read Epitaph" option will appear.
⬆️Once you've assigned a sim, you'll have the option to "Engrave Epitaph". You must click on this option (you can use the one generated by the game) for the other options to appear.⬇️
⬆️⚠️A "Plaque" option will appear over the Life & Death version, but it cannot be switched to the base game one. (The "Plaque" option will only show up when it is not slotted to a niche)
⬆️if you leave the epitaph blank then select "Read Epitaph", the epitaph will automatically becomes the object's description
Important Notes for assigning sims to the Life & Death version:
a ghost sim cannot assign themselves
once a sim has crossed over, rebirth or is deleted through cheat, they cannot be assigned to a plaque
if a sim is deleted permanently through cheat, AND the plaque that was originally assigned to them has no epitaph, then the default "R.I.P." epitaph will disappear . i.e. You cannot "Engrave Epitaph" to a deleted sim's plaque, but you may reassign the plaque to someone else.
once a plaque is assigned to a sim, it cannot be un-assign and leave empty. It can only be reassigned to another sim.
Base Game Version:
⬆️It is one of the options that will appear on a ghost sim/passed-away sim's urn/tombstone
⚠️⬆️It must be slotted to a niche for sims to be able to interact with it. If it is just placed on a wall, sims won't be able to reach it (watch video demonstration on my tumblr🎦🔗)
⬆️When slotted on a niche, an "Urn" option will appear, it will just turn the plaque into a urn snapped onto the wall (I cannot remove this...)
⚠️Very Important Note: if a base game plaque is slotted to the niche and then the niche is deleted, the plaque will be deleted as well. i.e. Your ghost sim will lose their urn.
PSD FILE INSTRUCTION
🐹You will need:
any app that can edit PSD files >> recommended app: GIMP or photopea.com
Sims 4 Studio ("Star" for Windows, "Aurora" for Macs)
⚠️Only edit the base game decorative plaques. Do not change anything else in the file.
⬆️input your text, and save images as PNG files, size 1024x1024px or 512x512px
⬆️in Sims 4 Studio, go to the "Studio" tab and select "Add Swatch"
⬆️after selecting the newly added swatch, still under "Studio" tab, on the right select Texture > Diffuse and then import the new texture with your own text

⚠️There are two versions for the Columbarium Niche:
Show - Niches will show when walls are down i.e. hovering midair
Not Show - Niches will not show when walls are down i.e. you will have to toggle walls up to access interaction
⚠️IMPORTANT: ONLY DOWNLOAD ONE NICHE VERSION ⚠️
i.e. you can have both no_portrait and with_portrait, but can only have either "show" or "not_show".

The ghost could light candle because he can intersect walls...
It appears to be the human sim cannot light candle because the object is within the walls (already ruled out elevated objects). The "light candle" animation/interaction should not be affected by walls though because my old niches/plaque allows sims to light candles to wall objects. If I moved the plaque away from the walls, sims can light candle from all directions near and far (so idk why the ghost lit the candle in that spot facing that direction...)
Already changed slot type to wall object, footprint does not overlap with walls...
Have a back up solution already but really hope this could be solved...

Hello🐹According to my Steam account the last time I played inZoi was on May 16th 2026..._(:з)∠)_ xD It's not that I don't like the game, but every time I open up inzoi it just heats up my pc...and I don't quite prefer a hot pc in this hot summer _(:з)∠)_ I saw inzoi has some interesting updates and I want to try them out, but maybe when the temperature is a bit cooler then I may open up the game again...😅p.s. and since I haven't play the game recently so I don't really know what it's like...so I can't really recommend or what-is-the-opposite-of-recommend-(?) it...anyway it's a nice game that heats up my computer ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
In order to be able to play my own legacy save asap, I've rearranged my family trees from seven family lineages to four, from seven maps needed to five _(:з)∠)_ And I can't believe this, but after...four years(?)😭I think I'm almost completing all my builds and can finally play my save! So currently I have a lot of builds "in stock" but just not the time to create the videos and sort out the CCs...Once I start playing, I will first begin to redo my Columbarium Niche CC.

Hello🐹 The ashtray and smoke are working in my current game. Remember the .ts4script files can only be placed one level deep in the Mods folder.
