Lafayette and Mulligan making the most of Hamilton and Laurens staring into each others eyes in Story of Tonight to steal their drinks
Jamael Westman was the tallest guy on stage and it really worked. Not only was he adorably towering over both Eliza and Laurens, and could get right in Washington’s face, but he simply commanded the stage with pure force of presence and it was stunning
Maria Reynold’s voice. Holy shit, Christine Allado was stunning, and I too would have an affair just to listen to more of that voice
Philip was so scared in Blow Us All Away and Stay Alive Reprise. He was genuinely shaking before the duel
Jefferson looking at Burr like ‘where the hell did you come from?’ at the start of Washington on Your Side
Lafayette was so tiny and bouncy
Hamilton winks at Washington in Helpless (and then exactly the same way again in the rewind of Satisfied)
King George making eye contact with every single member of the audience
Gilles Terra singing Dear Theodosia right at my Mum
Eliza copied Hamilton’s little victory dance in Helpless
One Last Time was a lot happier than expected
“Angelica, tell my wife that the Vice President isn’t a real job anyway,”, “Jersey, dawn, guns drawn,” and “I suggest we propose it” (instead of I suggest the Potomac) for the sake of the British audience
Instead of the mic drop in the first Cabinet Battle, Mulligan and Jefferson mimed firing machine guns to suggest a second revolution
Gilles Terra going completely off the sheet for his riffs in Room Where it Happens and Wait for It, you get the sense he sings something completely different each night
Lafayette distracting Burr so Hamilton could yell at Seaburry uninterrupted
Seriously Jefferson was so small, he had to jump out from behind Philip to point out lines of the Reynolds Pamphlet
Charles Lee looked exactly like every cocky sixteen year old you’ve ever hated
Jefferson doing a little jump and clicking his heels together at the end of What Did I Miss?
Everything Tarinn Callender did, I can’t believe this was his professional debut, the man was born for the Mulligan/Madison role I swear
Eliza looked so happy when she gasped at the end
Seriously this was such an amazing show and every single member of the cast and crew are perfect angels. (And I met Alex Lacamore!)
