Its name means “binding bride spider” or “entangling woman spider.” According to legend, it is a giant spider that can transform into a beautiful woman to lure unsuspecting victims. Once it gains their trust, it traps them in its webs and feeds on them. She is commonly associated with waterfalls, forests, caves and abandoned places.
