**REMINDER** you are doing too much at work!! They are not paying you extra based on your efficiency or effort level. Do not provide extra labor now in exchange for a potential pay increase in the future (which may never come btw!!). Give them exactly what they’re paying for. They do not care about you in any way. They do only as much as required by law; why should you do more than is outlined in your contract?

Most Americans don't have contracts. That way, your boss can always just say that something is part of your job.
