What's the point of having a heart if you aren't loud and passionate about things and people you love

No beauty shines brighter than a good heart.

Because our brains are wired to draw on experience to keep us safe. They are stuck in survival Mode and it takes conscious effort to get out of it and reshape your understanding of the world. Some people have an inherently stronger drive to do that. But everyone can heal with willingness. What doesn't help is judgement. It is also a defense. The tool is compassion and kindness. Even when someone is bitter, compassion can give them a sense of safety that helps them to calm down and get out of survival.
