I love NIN and TR so much because his career is so long that I can create little niches about different parts of it. I can sandwich myself between fantasizing about the messy Cleveland apartment he lived in when Pretty Hate Machine came out and the melancholic, gothic reverie of his home in New Orleans; between the grassy knolls and old masonry at the Cielo drive house and the bleary cornfields of his hometown to backstage hallways of concrete. I collect scraps of information about all of these places from articles + photographs and there’s always a distinct Trent to go along with them. NIN is tailored perfectly for fandom, absolutely unintentionally ♡

Really obsessed with the TV as a symbol of isolation and stunted potential; a screen through which you watch the lives of other people unfold in ways you wish yours would, but you can't seem to escape the four walls of your home, or the sprawling nothingness outside your living room window.
