i accept aging with grace

my thoughts dissipate and get

cleaning, sleeping, relaxing

Year of my life;Luckily 

Alone; I don’t care about 

After you shattered my dreams

We may be headed separate ways 

But the drop of hope echoing inside me

Is telling me we may reunite in the future;

It’s the only thing keeping me going

Predictable, it would be

Feelings of confusion and doubt were frequented

I wanted an escape; a way out

Something or perhaps someone to swim away to

Now the harsh tides have died down to steady seas 

And you, my life vest, has foated away to an adventure of its own

And I am left alone

Drowning in loneliness 

Suffocated by the memories we shared

Feeling this cycle of crashing waves

Of high and low tides

May never leave me 

I had paint on my finger

May sound, seeing you live your

Empowered, and I’m ready

Of me I was not yet

Let him explore a world that

Silence, our eyes met and said

Become better than the now,

No one other than myself
