What do we do with all the versions of ourselves we disrobe?

December 31st. The last leg for the year 2017, a year where my soul gained and lost. Mostly lost. I haven’t fully grasped this year when it started and certainly still hasn’t even though it’s almost over. I have this longing feeling when the year is ending. I would always feel like I will be separated from a friend I shared many things with. And it would always hurt. And by the start of the following year something would feel missing. Something was missing, something continuously feels missing. Yet here I am, summarizing my year in a multi-photo Instagram post speaking about how I feel about year ends. Some serious feelings need serious nonchalance.

As I stared at the sun retreat itself for the day I became envious of how easily it went down without holding back. I wish I had that much smooth movement with my emotional processes. I wish my heart had an opportunity to rest from all the longing it feels every second of the day.

We don’t need more places to discover. We need more people who take their trash with them.

It dawned to me, as soon as the fog touched my shoulders, that the clouds embraced me. And it was one of the things I wanted the most.
