Empire State of Mind

Man, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here.

Soo it happened! Rob and I got engaged on 08/07/2017; little did I know he had ordered the ring five weeks prior and kept it at home for two weeks before he popped the question. What a sneaky one.

In the four months since being engaged, we have researched and found our venue, chose our caterer (eight course meal come at me), booked the videographer, met with and booked the celebrant, met with four photographers before deciding on one and recently sussed out our future wedding band on Friday that just passed (have yet to secure with a deposit).

The big things are pretty much done and I think next will be the dress. We are still on the fence about an engagement party; it’d be nice to get together with everyone but don’t feel like it’s needed..

But anyway.

And just like that it’s already June, wow.

Already 10 days behind I see

Well on Jan 2nd it was my niece’s 11th birthday celebration (she’s born on NYD), so we had a casual lunch and cheesecake at their home in Mt Macedon.

Weather was actually quite cold but still bearable being outside, they’ve bought a new trampoline and two outdoor swings that are hung from the tree so that was fun.

On Jan 3rd I believe I had a pretty lazy day playing Sims then had a late lunch with Bae at TGI Friday’s Epping. After that, we went back to his place and just hung out with his parents/dog outdoors since the weather was mintttt

Yesterday, Jan 4th, I went to my friend’s house and when our other friend arrived, he drove us to Westfield Doncaster in his cute new Honda Jazz! Now that 2/3 of us have our licenses and a car, my non-driving friend, Anastasia, was super inspired to book her driving test finally haha

I thought this would be nice to start up again, something I haven’t done in a few years lol. Although I doubt I’ll be able to keep this up daily what with my heading back to work on Jan 9, but here we goooo :-)
