Miss the seoncd floor of the main building at the swap shop. they had all the game cabinets there, some of the machines left on free play, my younger brother and I would be stuck there for hours so naturally we would find ourselves attracted to that pseudo arcade. from memory I only ever recall it being fairly empty, noisy and a bit dark. rainy days were mostly dirty and muddy, allt he muck and grime that collected underneath and between the stalls outdoors would get really black and runny, the walk to the main building changed a bit, having to stick under canopies and between the vendor stalls to avoid the people that crowded the main avenues and the large pools of water that had nowhere to drain. Jewelry venders, pokemon card traders, framed art work sold out of stores made out of shipping containers. Im' sure most of it was junk, pawned, or counterfeit. never bought cards there for that reason, also i had no money at 10. to my 10 year old brain, it was all cool as hell, so much stuff in once place. I forgot what happened but one day, they decided to move those cabnets down to one of the walkways just above the show floor where the had some race cars on display, cabinets that broke down were never fixed, and eventually went missing. didn't know what those cars were from or what value they had, my baby brain tried to think how they got the cars inside the building sometimes, or if they were even real cars at all, then go back to slamming the tekken 3 machine to give me another credit for free. The also had a primal rage machine that was on free play, but it went missing or borked at some point.
