This post / song / text was inspired by the picture seen under it.
They already know they have a problem.
Facing it alone wasn't their option.
They don't need your eyes.
To tell them.
They already know.
I hate what i see.
I wish i could be.
Normal? Different?
I want the mirror to lie.
And no longer cry.
Lie to me and tell me I'm beautiful.
My metamorphosis.
A butterfly?
How long will i be a shell?
And will i ever be able to fly?
I know I'm not a joy to your eyes.
And love isn't an option at this time.
Years of struggle will come to an end.
But i can't stop my self thinking that.
I hate what i see.
I wish i could be.
Normal? Different?
I want the mirror to lie.
And no longer cry.
Lie to me and tell me I'm beautiful.

I have never myself experienced any eating disorders where it is a psychological issue. I think in my life i know one person who has a version of it. And perhaps i have an idea how much struggle it is to never be able to like or love your body but actually hate it on daily basis and find yourself always back to the start of things.
I could only feel the photograph and imagine the struggle of those two girls. Thus came out the text. But it's something i think I'll never have the full experience or the understanding of fully.
My deepest compassion to everyone who has ED or going through phases of stress eating or starvation to the point where they need to work a lot to get back to their normal self or the body shape / weight they want.
Hades don't want you in his underworld so please live long, happy and healthy. And I'll be smiling at your progress in the direction you've set.
