- Rin meets Stray Kids -

Rin meeting Han was a weird for her. She was meeting Stray Kids for the first time, she didn't really know most of them, she knew only two and that was because they would visit often to bother Karma at the Blackpink dorms. That would be Seungmin and Jeongin, she would also join in the bugging. They started talking and hanging out after school, eating out and talking about their members. Hell, they were the first to know about Rin joining TXT as they were there for that phone call. They were close, so she wasn’t so nervous about meeting all of them. She already knew who they were both because of Karma and the other two talking about them.

She sighed closing her eyes jumping in place a little hyping herself up. She likes talking to people, she actually likes to put herself out there. But this is more of a I need to prove myself moment. In the industry she is more known for her looks. The whole group has great visuals, but they are all not known for that. Like Talia is known to be for an ace, can speak different languages, dance incredibly well, great voice, great producer, beautiful stage presence. Karma is known for her unique voice in both singing and rapping, acting and charisma. Nova is known for booming stage/dance presence, amazing choreography, and sexy rapping style. Rin to her is mostly known for her looks. Doesn’t mean that's why she was put in there for, they put her in there for her voice. She is what you would call a main vocalist, but she gets overshadowed by her other members a lot because of their talents and presence as well.

In early articles and interviews when Blackpink first debuted people would always put them in categories, dancer, visual, leader, rapper or vocalist. All of them had visuals everyone would argue who would be the visual, but most decided to put them in what they stand out the most in. Talia vocalist, Karma rapper, Nova dancer, and that would leave a spot for Rin. Even though Rin is the main vocalist, didn’t mean she stood out much in stage. The other members stage presence and charisma kind of overshadowed Rin. Of course, Rin doesn’t blame the girls for that, she knew that it was gonna happen even before she debuted as she’s been criticized for not having enough charisma or energy. She didn’t know it would go as far as saying she was talentless. She knows she has a powerful voice that can capture people's attention. It's just her energy in the group doesn’t match their girl crush theme they had. As the other 3 have more mature features and Rin has more youthful features.

She was nervous that Stray Kids would think low of her because of the rumors of her being talentless. Of course, Seungmin and Jeongin reassured her saying they are not like that, but she's seen plenty of groups seeming sweet on camera but being absolutely terrible off camera. She paced a little before having the confidence to knock on the door. She was internally panicking how no one was opening the door feeling the secondhand embarrassment of having to knock on the door twice even though it's been less than 5 seconds. While she was contemplating on knocking again the door open to a giggly Han. 

Her eyes opened wide at the sudden door opening, but also at the cute smiley boy in front of her not noticing her in the moment just laughing in the most carefree way possible. He turned to see a surprised rosy wide-eyed girl. 

“Ah Hello.” giving her a gentle smile gesturing for her to come in. She bowed a little mumbling a thank you too shy to make eye contact with him. She looked around see a bunch of boys having their attention on her. She smiled and bowed saying a small hello. They scrambled to get up and greet her surprised to see it was her instead of their female member Karma who left not too long ago to get snacks. 

She giggled to how frantic they got and how they started cleaning up at the same time.

“Rinny why didn’t you text us when you got here.” Seungmin whined going up to her greeting her with a hug. She giggled and gave him a hug back.

“I honestly forgot to; I was too nervous to think about it.” She smiled sheepishly. Seungmin sighed and shook his head.

“I told you to relax.” Rin raised an eyebrow looking him up and down.

“You expect me to be calm??” She exclaimed looking at him like he’s crazy. He patted her head moved her in front of him with a closed eyed smile. Right then she knew...she was screwed. She inhaled sharply not expected to be pushed forwards and she sees 7 boys in front of her. Looking at her with excitement which she suddenly grows more nervous from.

“Everyone introduce yourselves, well except I.nnie.” Seungmin lead. A very dimpled man walked up to her with a cute smile. 

“Hello, I’m Bang Chan, I’m from Australia and the leader of Stray Kids.” Rin connected the dots and gasped.

“You are one of the English speakers, right?” Rin excitedly pointed out in her British accent coming out. She doesn’t speak English much, even with Talia with her they usually speak in Korean, so speaking her native language is very exciting to her especially since she finds Australian's accents nice to listen too. So naturally it's rare for Rin speaks English, unless it's in songs. So many people don’t really know she can speak English fluently, people just think she was born in the UK and left when she was very young which is not true. 

Chan blinked a little taken back from the British accent and language switch. But his expression quickly turned into a smile and nodded finding her child like excitement cute.

“Yeah, I grew up mostly in Australia, so I have a strong Australian accent, and from what I remember you are from the UK right, your accent is very strong.” Chan asked, Rin nodded happily. Next that came up a short boy around the same height as her only a little taller, he looked a little intimidating with a very sharp jaw.

“Hello, I’m Changbin nice to meet you.” he said politely, she blinked a couple times, he responded how she expected she quickly smiled and said hi back. Next came a very handsome boy, not that she thought the other weren’t, it's just.... he was glowing. 

“Hello, my name is Hyunjin.” he smiled softly, his smile reminded her of a prince, she can see him winning fans hearts fast. She smiled back in the same manner. Next was a very familiar guy, she couldn’t point her finger on it, but his features were defined. 

“Hello, my name is Minho.” He greeted normally, but he didn’t get a greeting back as Rin was looking back at him with a blank expression, Minho was confused looking back at the guys then back at her. Seungmin came up and waved a hand in front of her face, but she slapped it away.

“You...you used to be the backup dancer for BTS right?” she said randomly finally responded. She was gonna say that she saw him on the news once, but she knew better than saying that as she heard the boys like to tease and didn’t want to embarrass him. He blinked in surprise at her noticing where he used to work. He smiled embarrassed and nodded. 

“Ah sorry for blurting that out, I just remembered your face since you’re very handsome.” She said confidently which he grew a little shy at the compliment and thanked her walking away. Seungmin sneaked up to her whispering.

“You don’t like him, do you?” She slapped him on the back of the head and looked at the next person ignoring Seungmin’s whining. He was a cute, freckled boy remembering she once saw him in the Blackpink dorm to either hangout with Talia or bother Karma with the other 2 which she never really interested her. 

“Hello, I’m Felix.” He smiled cutely, she found him so cute. She smiled back.

“You are the one that comes to the Blackpink dorm with the other two from time to time to hang out with Talia or Karma right?” She asked to make sure she had the right boy. He smiled excitedly that Rin remembers him, he was worried that she didn’t remember him because they didn’t really introduce themselves whenever he goes over. 

“Yes, that's me, ah I also speak English like Chan Hyung I’m from Australia.” He said remembering that she speaks English too, her eyes go wide in excitement.

“Ah so you are the other one that Talia told me about! She is very fond of you.” She said which his face lit up to.

“Noona talks about me?” He asked curiously, Rin nodded finding it cute that he is excited that Talia talks about him, no wonder she finds him adorable.

“Yup, I can tell you what she says about you later.” She whispers to him knowing well the others would want to know about it too and she can only handle one at a time. Felix smiled and nodded in agreement. Next came up was the boy who was at the door who charmed her, her eyes kinda widen when she sees him coming up, she took a mini deep breath and smiled sweetly.

“Hi, nice to meet you, my name is Han.” He smiled; she smiled back even wider finding his presence endearing. She said hi back, trying to hold herself back from rocking back and forth which is a habit when she is interested in someone. He left going to Minho to talk as he has done his greeting. Her eyes followed him a little catching herself a little trying to move on, but her eyes met with her worst enemy.

His mouth was wide open, astonished, looking at Han then back at her, looking at Han once more then back at her. She inhaled running up to him tackling him down to the ground covering his mouth shushing him which led to a big thud. This with Seungmin watching the entire interaction, he done connected the dots. Everyone else confused with the sudden violence and there Karma at the door watching everything go down within seconds now regretting everything.

Everyone knows Talia loves sweet things, candy, fruit like grapes, strawberries, mango, or ice cream and cake. She's especially obsessed with ice cream and cheesecake. The guys are always worried about how much she is consuming especially when she's feeling down. They have noticed different things when she eats either of them.

Ice cream she eats basically daily, or at least once a week. She seems happy when eating it, you can see how much comfort it brings to her whenever she eats it. It makes her feel more upbeat.

But when she eats cheesecakes, she has more of a serious feel to her. She is enjoying her treat but you can sense the bit of sadness whenever she takes a bite. Like a bittersweet smile. 

They always wondered what the reason for this is, they knew it wasn’t as simple as something she really likes to eat. Eating something over and over again must make someone sick. But it never does for her, it means something totally different than just eating it to enjoying it.

Haechan, running up to the roof with his anxiety running high. Expecting his noona to be there waiting for him at the table with a smile after they had their practice as she didn’t join due to schedule differences. But she wasn’t there like she said she would. She doesn’t lie about that, she never lies. If she did leave, she would at least tell him, message him, call him, right?

She wouldn’t leave just like that again......would she?

That was his one fear, her leaving without warning, not staying, going somewhere where he couldn’t reach. His mind ran wild with all those fears, that his nightmare came to life. 

He ran to her room which was clean and tidy but empty.

He closed the door and stood there thinking where she could’ve gone. Of course, the sensible thing was to text her or call but he was too scared she wouldn’t answer. He thought of one place she would go to if she were to disappear. He ran out the door and took the stairs as the elevator wasn’t fast enough for him.

He slammed open the roof door open to see a silhouette sitting on the edge looking out at the view with a calm expression. He sighed in relief, his anxiety left as fast as it came. 

“Noona”

The girl turned back with a loving expression recognizing the concerned voice.

“Haechanie.” She called out to him sweetly, acting she didn’t give that boy a heart attack. He sighed and walked closer to her, admiring how the wind blew her hair out of her face perfectly. The city light illuminating her features giving her a golden glow. He looked at the things next to her. Noticing a half-eaten cheesecake and a melted ice cream. Which is unusual for her as she always finishes it. He frowned a little now taking a better look at her face as her eyes looked a little swollen and red.

“Have you been crying?” He asked softly, not like he really was asking he already knew the answer. He crouched down about to move some hair out the way to have a better look at her face. She turned quickly not wanting him to see her like that. His eyes went soft retracting his hand.

“Hey, it’s too late to hide now, I already saw.” he saw her cheeks puff and slowly turn her head towards him. He admired her face, he could tell why she wasn’t at the dining table, and why she didn’t text him where she was.

“What’s wrong noona?” he sat next to her moving a piece of hair out of her face. She bit her lip, she smiled bitterly.

"I'm....I'm in a little bit at a loss." She confessed reluctantly pursing her lips. He furrowed his eyebrows, concerned.

"Ha...usually cheesecake would help me think but I couldn't finish it. Then I wanted ice cream to make myself feel better but...it didn't, he couldn't this time." Her voice going quieter at the end, as if she was disappointed at something.

Haechan furrowed his eyebrows confused.... who's 'he'. Talia took a deep breath and looked at lights in front of her, contemplating if she should tell his story.

"Haechan, you remember me talking about a boy named Min-ki right?" She asked still looking out to the city. Haechan hesitated but hummed a yes. She smiled bitterly again and looked at him seeing he was already looking at her.

"I'm going to tell you a story about a boy I couldn't fully love." He looked at her eyes they were shining.... was he worth her tears?

"I met him in middle school, may not seem like much and too young but I truly loved him to the point where I would even choose him over my brother...." she chuckled feeling guilty knowing well that her brothers fear, insecurity was true. During their argument she didn't know he was scared of that until he yelled at her for it. She thought she hid it well. She never tried to lie; she'd rather avoid it as much as possible...but she couldn't bring herself to tell the truth to her brother knowing how much it would break him. Knowing he would stop everything that he was doing, quit his modeling job, break up with his girlfriend for her. She would quit her job, hell stop talking to NCT if she really needed, but she couldn't stop herself from not choosing Min-ki. If he were still here, she probably wouldn't even been an idol.

Haechan didn't know what to say, he didn't really think she would say that. He thought their sibling bond was unmatched, unbreakable. He thought she was taunting her brother back, but no, she really would pick that boy. The next thought was would she pick that boy over them, over NCT, over him. He felt bitter inside just thinking about it, wanting to be her number one. Even if it is a dream he had, he wanted to have some hope that he could be her first choice. Over her brother, over her family, over NCT, over Stray Kids, over her friend group, over that boy.

"He would be my first love, he helped me a lot through my abuse, let me stay at his house, help me with my injuries. He would try to make me happy by singing songs, writing love letters, making new tunes with his guitar. You know, he taught me how to play the guitar? He was so patient with me I found it sickeningly sweet." She laughed.

"But you know what's the worst part?" She said in a whisper, turning her head towards him still looking at her with sad eyes.

"He was never my boyfriend." Haechan rose his eyebrows in surprise. He did remember years ago when Lucas asked if Talia ever dated anyone. She said no yet he still didn't believe her.

"Did he ever ask you?" Haechan asked moving hair out of her face. She shook her head no.

"Not exactly, he confessed to me, but never asked me out...I found out the reason later on." She looked down a little trying to control her emotions.

"I- I said I wasn't ready, but we did couplie stuff....and my favorite thing he did was buy me ice cream randomly." She smiled stupidly like a girl in love. Haechan watched her smile, it was one he recognized when he saw a video on the camera he found while helping clean her old room. A smile she had on, only when she was with that boy.

"I didn't like ice cream that much, I actually didn't like cold things, but he would always have a stupid smile on his face when he got it for me, I couldn't help but like it then." Haechan was again dumbfounded by how far she would go to even make herself like ice cream because of him.

"Is that why you eat ice cream whenever your sad." He asked carefully. She nodded and started leaning on him her back getting tired.

"It usually makes me happy, but it never works this day." Haechan got confused, this day? He went to grab his phone and checked the day.

July 16th

"What...what so different about today to other days?" He hesitated on asking but he really wanted to know.

"He died today."

There was an eerie silence, he didn't know it was today. He recapped to every year on this day. He never really remembers her being weird this day which is scary to him. For years she stayed quiet morning his death by herself especially on during their tours and schedules. He knows how she gets sad whenever she misses one of their birthdays or Stray Kids birthdays as well, he could just imagine how sad she would be if she wasn't able to put flowers on his gravestone. He put his arms around her give her a tight hug.

She was startled by the sudden affection but loosed up accepting his hug.

"I'm okay Haechan-"

"NO!" She surprised by the sudden yell. She looked up to him to see him crying. She turned her body, facing him, she carefully wiped his tears looking at him worried. He looked at her bewildered.

"Why are you crying baby?" Haechan didn't know what to say, she was worried for him, comforting him. When it should be the other way around.

"No no no no no, you shouldn't be comforting me, this is supposed to be the other way around." He said trying to pry her hands away but no avail. She kept her stance looking at him with a serious face.

"Baby, don't cry for me. I'm okay, I haven't been grieving by myself. Every year when I can't go to his grave someone else does it for me. If I can, I go late at night with a bunch of friends. I'm not alone and I have you." Haechan was speechless, he was being comforted by the person he loves the most. In her hands, she's strong, has so much will power. Protected them from her mother so she wouldn't hurt them. When they were supposed to protect her, her mother, her abuser.

Haechan started crying more, not just because he felt guilty about her being alone, but that he couldn't protect her. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't. She was just too much out of his grasp. Even though she is laying on him, holding on to him. It felt like she was protecting him from the world than him protecting her from the world.

Talia kept quiet, knowing what he's thinking. But she thought it was better this way. Protecting someone than being protected. She'd rather get hurt than him, it would damage him more than her as she's been broken to the point where she can't be broken anymore.

Shattered pieces of glass of her reflection looking back at her.

Haechan calmed down by the soft scratches he was receiving. He cleared his throat now feeling better, and decided to continue, not wanted to leave yet.

"Do you have a reason for eating cheesecake so much then? As I figure ice cream is a symbol for him." Talia nodded her head laying on his shoulder still laying between his legs.

"It's....it's a representation for Han." Haechan stiffened, he was confused...when did Han come into the mix?

"I know what you're thinking, when did Han come into the mix, and yes it's Stray Kids Han." She sighed thinking on where to start with him.

"Han, I met Han in a bad time in my life, I lost Min-ki couple months before I met him. He was basically my rebound, but I never dated him. He was like a fire, he comforted me, he made feel loved and appreciated, but when things go the wrong way, he went out of control, his anger, jealousy taking over him like a forest fire, impossible to extinguish." Haechan can tell it was toxic by the way she described it. Even if she used flowery words, the words still had meaning.

"We were toxic to one another, of course there was the good moments and bad. But...I'm not sure if I regret it. I learned many things about myself and him, but we didn't have closure for a while until around late 2017 to 2018. We got our closure. For the most part at least." She laid her head back on his chest looking down at her pinky where there's a faded red line which she shared with him.

"There's things I miss and something I don't. But all things must come to an end at some point, good or bad." She sighed and showed off her hand in the moonlight, extending her pinky. Haechan squinted his eyes, bring his hand up caressing her skin noticing the red fated line slowly fading away. He realized that Han was more than just a fling, or a simple crush they had on each other or that Han was just being mean because he likes her, that trope. But they really loved each other, and with a simple tattoo can really show the whole story.

I wished things were different for once.

Minki was a boy without hope. Yet he was loving, he hugged, took care of, and cherished people he was around. Always smiling, having the time of his life. But that wasn’t the truth. He was lonely....

His family were businesspeople and put their work was first over everything. That included him. He got accustomed to this lifestyle very young, until he got to school. He saw all these kids, same age, same hair, same eye color, have what he wanted.

He always wondered and asked is there something wrong with me? Am I not enough? Look at me for once. Please...love me.

Yet his parents never gave him a glance. Only love he got was from his friends who didn’t last long in his life as he moved every year because of his parents’ jobs. He grew accustomed to this too, nothing new. Then it was his eighth birthday he didn’t know why but, he didn’t feel good. He felt dizzy and heavy, he couldn’t make out what was happening to him. All he could remember was falling asleep hear a yell from his nanny who was taking care of him. Then his body feeling even more heavy, too weak to open his eyes too weak to speak, all he could hear was a deep voice, seemingly like a male. Disappointed that it wasn’t his fathers, but he could hear the level of concern.

“He....he won’t make it past 14, I’m sorry.” 

He didn’t know what he exactly meant but he knew it wasn’t good he couldn’t help but cry quietly as he heard the wails of his nanny who he quickly recognized. As he got older, he quickly understood what that doctor meant, realizing this he didn’t cry, he didn’t ask why this was happening to him, he accepted it like every other thing in his life. Around his 12th birthday he asked if he couldn’t stay in Seoul South Korea to purse music. It was his wish, his parents felt like they didn’t have a reason to say no, not like they really cared. So, he moved to the city where his nanny also followed for legal reasons.

He wished to come to Korea to hone a skill and be able to play music as he felt like that’s the only thing he had control over. Flicking the strings on the guitar, playing any melody he wants to his biding.

As he came into the new school feeling at ease, his last chapter of his life is about to begin. He took deep breaths walking in seeing a really good looking guy at the staircase just sitting and listening to music like he was waiting for someone. He looked up quickly making eye contact with Minki making him feel flustered at the sudden eye contact. He chuckled and took out his earbuds.

“You new here?” He asked smiling sweetly. Minki nodded not daring to say a word as he was too embarrassed.

“I’m Allen nice to meet you. I’m a foreigner if you haven’t noticed by my accent.” He explained.

“I’m Hyeon Minki.” Minki said in a quiet voice, getting to know new people is still nerve racking to him.

“I’m guessing you are~ YOunger~!” Allen guessed, which Minki laughed at his antic.

“I was born July 16th, 2000.” He beamed feeling comfortable around him.

“Ah so you are around the twins ages.” He mumbled with a fond gaze. Minki looked at him confused.

“You wanna get to know the school? We still have plenty of time.” Allen suggested, Minki quickly nodded. Minki can so far figure out that Allen is older than him, at least a year. Minki listened and talked comfortably with Allen. Then they got outside into the courtyard going down the stairs Minki spotted a girl sitting, reading a book with headphone on ignoring the world around her. The wind slightly blowing her hair out the way somehow perfectly, the sun shining down on her skin made her glow, turning a little to see her eyes which wear a dark shade of green, her moles making her all the more elegant. She looked like a fairy

Allen looked to the side of him noticing Minki’s quietness, he noticed him looking at Talia which he internally groaned at, but he quickly took in that his stare wasn’t that same as the hungry stare he would usually see it was more longing, he contemplated for a minute then made a decision. Allen ran down the stairs suddenly which Minki jumped at as he could hear him call her name.

“TALIA!”

The girl quickly looked up to see a tall boy running to her full speed, her eyes widen as she tried to make the run for it. But it was too late he got a hold of her and swung her to his shoulder collecting her stuff in the process, now heading toward him. He could hear her little complaints which he found adorable. Allen put her down and gave her, her stuff. Talia looked at the boy next her making a little bit of a surprised face not noticing him before being too preoccupied on being swung over a shoulder.

“Tali, I would like to introduce you to one of my good friend, Minki this is Talia and Talia this is Minki.” He said cheerfully. Tali was too stunned to talk first so Minki decided to take one for the team.

“Hello, I’m Minki nice to meet you” He said shyly bowing a little, Talia blinked a little rapidly trying to get her head back.

“Oh hi I’m Talia nice to meet you too.” She smiled sweetly which made him taken back at her charm.

“Well, I gotta go, Tali please show him around, see you guys around” Allen said running off. Talia mouth opened wide out of disbelief that he had the audacity to interrupt her reading just so he and take a nap knowing him. They made eye contact and burst out laughing. She hummed to try to calm herself.

"You have such a weak heart for them lately." He chuckled as he fixed Chenle's blanket then sat next to him moving his gaze towards his sister.

"But that only means one thing..." his voice went raspy and deep looking at Talia with a curious yet knowing gaze.

"You're going to leave soon."

Talia stiffened a little, not totally surprised he figured out why she has been more kind recently than cold, letting them in a little than pushing them away, wanting to make sweet lasting memories as to a cold front.

"Of course, not right now...but that doesn’t mean much later." He smirked rubbing his bottom lip with his finger observing her.

"This happy family won’t last after all." Talia knew what he was aiming for. He wanted her to feel terrible on what she was doing, acting kind then leaving them, crushing the hope they had into little peices of memories. Guilt tripping, not like he actually cared about their feelings, as he made it very clear, after he met all of them having a private dinner with her speaking his opinions on them. She lowered her gaze at him.

"But my question is...will you leave me behind as well?" He asked leaning forward setting his elbows on his knees peering at Talia. ‘ah’ realization hit, this was the insecurity that was causing this tantrum. Her stance kept the same, keeping quiet, never wavering.

"How far will you go? Will you take me.... or disappear?" He questioned her, he knows she doesn't know herself, if so, she would have acted on it.

"You know, you've been having this distant stare, looking far out into the world only made me more curious and the boys too ya know." He pointed out which didn't get much reaction from her as expected.

"One of the boys had the courage to come up to me and ask me 'Is she planning to leave us?' ". He sighed out mimcking the tone he remembered, looking at Tali who was a little taken back and he smirked a little......success

"I took him to get a drink and told him I had no idea." He explained nodding his head looking at the direction of said boy. Tali followed his gaze to the boy clinging on to her already in his sleep.

Haechan.

She pursued her lips and gave her brother a glare. Which he smiled to.

"Then he had a little bit too much to drink and confessed that ever since what? 2017? He was afraid you will go somewhere out of his reach, man even had nightmares about it." He snickered at Haechan pitifully.

"You know at that point I thought he was asking for your hand in marriage." He laughed out. Tali couldn't say anything, she knew she wouldn't stay in Nct the whole time like the rest, she already knew and told the company when she first debut that something will probably happen to make that decision and the time has come.

She is a little disappointed it came so soon. She really loves them...but her trust has been broken and that was her number 1, trust above all.

"You love and adore them Talia...why leave?" Her brother questioned her in a mocking way cocking his head the side. Talia sighed and looked at her brother with unreadable expression.

"I loved Han....and I left him, he betrayed my trust.... what the hell makes you think I'm that weak to love, I am not my father." She said sternly having an intense gaze. Miguel narrowed his eyes at her, he thought for a second.... trauma, fools for love, fear of turning into our father, how pitiful.

"What about Minki?" Her body tensed while her gaze became more shaken.

"What about him?" She mumbled, Miguel smirked loving her reaction, he's having fun.

"Oh, you know......you loved him......so much to the point I thought you would choose him over me and yet he left you." He slightly shook his head as if he was disappointed, smiling slightly. Talia's hands clenched while glaring at her brother, she hated this side of him, with a burning passion she wanted him to go away, he was like that little voice in her head that wouldn’t stop, that. wouldn't just shut up.

"Miguel, shut u-"

"WHY SHOULD I? HUH?" He raised his voice slamming his hands on the table waking most of the boys up with Talia being unfazed.

"Ha, what a lame reaction." He chuckled, he seemed frustrated.

"What the hell is your problem."

"ARE YOU GONNA RUN AWAY FROM ME AGAIN HUH?" He yelled at her with frustration written all over his face while Talia looked at him with only a glare.

"Hey hey calm down now-" Taeyong tried to interfere but no avail.

"No, you said you were gonna stay-"

"I never said that." She interrupted him giving him a dirty look. The boys looked at her wide eyed, one feeling came up......fear.

"And I wasn’t the one who left first YOU DID! Not me, you. YOU LEFT FOR YOUR DREAM FIRST, WHEN I ASKED YOU TO STAY LONGER!" She got up pointing at him.

"YOU LEFT FIRST AND I WAS THE ONE WHO DIDN'T LOOK BACK." There was silence, the guys had no idea what was happening but all they could really get was Talia leaving which made them scared, anxious.

"Your job was to stay Miguel. They are different, they can leave me whenever the fuck they want, I never expected them to stay with me through thick and thin but with you I did. Cause you are my brother, I didn't expect you to visit me every time you have a day off, give me affection, listen to my worries, your only job was to stay in my life......and you failed that."

Migeul stayed silent, the whole room was still. Something has been revealed about their relationship that they know they shouldn't know.

"Talia-"

"Yes I was selfish..." Miguel started looking down clenching his hands together.

"But would you really choose me over Minki?" There was a deafing silence, the boys were speechless. They knew nothing that was happening but when they looked at Talia who have a sad but surprised expression with anger also written all over it. She clenched her jaw gave her brother a look of hatred. What they were witnessing was something that scared them.

“Why are you ask-”

“BEACUSE YOU KEEP AVOIDING THE DAMN QUESION?!” He screamed out. 

“I don’t know.” She calmly spoke out, small drops of tears rolling down her face as she felt a warm hand grab hers, she slowly looked to see Haechan. She bit her lip as tears started flowing.

“So, you would choose him.” Miguel's voice went deep with anger obviously coming from him. Tali quickly turned to him with a confused expression looking at her brother with a stone face shooting glares at her.

“I never said that-”

“You didn’t have to.” He quicky said as a tear slowly rolled down, and slowly they started building up. He knew in the back of his mind that Talia would choose Minki over him. He realized this long ago with Minki still being there. Instead of her crying to him about her problems she would go to him. He always made sure she was on top of his list but it felt like she never did that for him. It felt like he was always her second choice when they promised to be each other’s number one. He always resented Minki for that but couldn’t at the same time as he made his sister happy. 

“I would always choose you, I can’t even choose anymore. WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?” Talia finally yelled out. Miguel chuckled wiping the tears. 

“You can choose though.” He smiled, but not the sweet smile he gives her, it was menacing. She knew what he was talking about. She yanked her had out of Haechan’s grasp.

“Are you kidding me? There’s no good reason, for making believe that we could ever exist again.” She yelled at him, making him roll his eyes scoffing. 

“oh pl-”

“ITS NOT THE SAME, they are two different people! I can’t be his friend anymore, I can’t be his lover, he can’t hold me back from loving someone else cause he’s not there anymore!” She screamed at him which made him a little wide eyed, not the fact she yelled but the words.

“You know Miguel, I don’t know whose more in denial about his death you or me? But right now, it’s really looking like it’s you.” She stated, everything went quiet as he looked down at his sister. More or else in both physically and in general. Always looked down on how she couldn’t get over her first love, but maybe in reality it was him who couldn’t get over his death.

“What is happening?” Taeyong asked feeling really left out, same with the rest of the boys.

"If theres nothing more I’m leaving, being in the same room with you right is suffocating." She waved him off about to turn to go to her room but instead Haechan grabbed a hold on her.

She looked back with a blank face, Haechan tried to reason with her but what he got in return was an icy stare as he couldn’t even get a word out yet. It was different from the one before, the one before it was kind and sweet the one, one that he would bathe in, but this cold stare made him back away immediately, just thinking about it made him shiver.

"Let go."

"Wha-"

"I. Said. Let. Go. Lee Donghyuck." She said sternly. He let go cowering back. She looked at her brother who had an amused smile but not to her but to himself. She gave him one last dirty look.

"You are a piece of shit Miguel." She said coldly, she grabbed her jacket and phone and without telling them where she's going, she left out the door. Chenle was about to go after her, but Miguel grabbed his arm and shook his head.

"Well nice seeing you all, lets meet again." He smiled innocently quickly grabbing his stuff as he wanted to talk to her.

"Wait." Taeyong called out to him, which he turned with a calm expression. Not an expression you would have after an argument, that face reminds them of Talia no doubt.

"Sorry to ruin your sweet moment I couldn't myself but provoke her but as you saw it backfired on me." He chuckled in such a playful charming manner which baffled the guys. It was so different from the face that was a couple seconds ago that was taunting his sister.

They stood back in disbelief of what they witnessed. Just what kind of relationship did they have? All they saw playful and sweet siblings who were there for each other....this is different.

Talia never really cared for her birthday, it’s never something she’d look forward to. Even now, birthdays only really reminded her of bad times. It’s not like it’s just her day either. She shares it with her twin brother Miguel which she doesn’t mind. She loves her brother so there was no need to dislike her birthday, especially right now as she has a new life without all that abuse and torment, but yet she doesn’t feel excited. The energy from her members didn’t really reach her, so she fondly smiled at them appreciating their excitement for the day of her birth even though she wasn’t. It made her feel warm that there were people who are glad she was born. 

Yes, her other friends did celebrate, but since they were all going through their own things when they were younger there wasn’t much time to celebrate but more like worry about what’s going to happen next on what felt like a never-ending nightmare which they called their life. 

Talia was now staring at a gravestone, how can one person change everything with just existing for just a moment, then disappearing the next. She crouched down cleaning it up a bit smiling bitterly, wanting to cry her hear aching even she though she figured she was able to keep the promise. Her hand grazing over the engraving of the one she held so dear. She slowly put down her lily stepping away admiring their hard work. She raised her hand high fiving her friends. 

“It was a good idea to visit him even though it took like what? Two hours?” Allen nodded impressed they didn’t start complaining halfway through that car ride.

“Wow great job now we know how long it took, now it’s going to feel like it’s 4 hours instead of 2.” Karma whined punching Allen on the shoulder. The group laughed at Karma’s whining but got what she meant.

“Ah we really should head back I can just imagine one of my members waking up to me not being there.” Talia thought out loud just imaging the chaos that would ensue when they don’t see her there. Allen scoffed.

“Please they will call you and you can say you’re with Chan.” Allen pointed at Chan while his head shook in confusion on how he came up with that.

“Me? Why me?” He pointed at himself dramatically.

“Cause they know you are responsible, so if you think about it and use your noggin, they will be cool with it.” Allen said oh so casually while Talia, Karma, and Chan looked at him with ‘are you stupid?’ look on their face. Now Allen taken back from their reaction.

“Why are your guys faces screaming ‘are you stupid?’ on them?” he asked concerned. Talia huffed and started to walk away with the rest but Allen following her as he was frozen in confusion, now getting to his senses running to catch up with them.

“WHAT WAS THAT LOOK FOR????” 

Talia sighed in relief as she entered her dorm. Cracking her neck, feeling like she was just on a 10-hour road trip with a bunch of idiots (Allen). Talia kicked off her shoes taking off her jacket feeling overheated already. Looking up now making intense eye contact with a member of the foreign swaggers.

“Ah Mi Bon Bon.” She tilted her head smiling sweetly acting like she didn’t just leave and come back at 5 am at night. Jaehyun raised an eyebrow at her giving her a knowing smile.

“Now princess, I know it’s your birthday and all and you turned like 18 but, why did you just come through the door at 5 am in the morning when I clearly saw you knocked out with Jaemin and Haechan clinging on to you.” He asked walking up to her helping her get her layers off as February can get quite cold.

Talia looked down and pouted no way she was getting out of this one. “Ah well you see, I was planning to leave around 12 am as I figured Dream was gonna take me to their dorm which they were gonna knock out as soon as they get there, and to which they did. Then I pretended to be asleep so when managers did a round check with the older members aka you, Taeyong, Doyoung, etc. Then when you guys left, I took a shower and left aswell." Talia explained her process as to Jaehyun was impressed.

“You a professional now?” He asked playfully leading her to his room as he was rooming alone, and the bed was big enough for both of them. Talia giggled at his joke, glad he wasn’t to upset at the fact she sneaked out late at night. Where if it were the other members, she would be scolded right off the bat. Jaehyun smirked a bit knowing Talia owed him one as they can play it off as she couldn’t sleep and decided to sleep with Jaehyun. Talia side eyed him knowing exactly what he’s thinking.

“What do you want Jung Jaehyun.” She turned to him eyeing him up and down. He chuckled. “No Mi Bon Bon?” he mocked her as she groaned letting her head fall back rolling her eyes at him going to his closet for some comfortable clothes to steal. He thought about it for a moment and smiled he got out the room as she signaled him to leave.

“You thought of one yet?” She raised her voice a little, just enough for him to hear. “Yeah, I got a perfect one~.” He said in a sinister way to mess with her. Laughing a little as he heard her little moan on the other side clearly dreading her future. He knocked twice to see if he could come in the silence was a yes as he opened the door to a small girl planted face down like a star in the middle of his bed.

“Now princess would you like to hear my wish?” he said in a breathy tone petting her hair. She nodded still facing the cushion. Jaehyun smiled sweetly at her little act finding it adorable.

“I want you to wish me Happy Birthday and Valentine’s Day once the clock hits 12~” He sang, he could feel Talia stiffen and his eyes followed her body as she slowly rose her head in surprise. She smiled signaling she liked his wish.

“Alright Valentine Boy I will grant your wish with a bonus!” She exclaimed now sitting up with Jaehyun still sitting on the floor laying his head on her legs interested in the bonus.

“Bonus? What bonus?” He smiled dimples coming out making him seem more charming. 

“I will wish you Happy Birthday plus Valentine every year in person or through call depends on my schedule.” She proposed now playing with his face, his smiled got wider and tackled her down the bed hugging the life out of her. Now more relaxed, lights turned off his face just nuzzled in her hair in the place of her neck. He could feel her body relaxed and breathing slow down as she fell asleep in his arms. He looked up at her, even though he can’t see her properly he could still make out her figure. His eyes softening but yet his heart was racing. This girl took his breath away in one foul swoop and he couldn’t complain as it felt amazing.
