it's odd to me that hobie's age only became discourse when people started shipping spiderverse!punkflower and not when the movie set the audience up to believe gwen and hobie had smth going on. not to mention if hobie is actually supposed to be 19/20 then that "love triangle" the director implied gets really weird when u consider that hobie is 16/17 in the comics and they aged him up unnecessarily
