@gwenvidweek day 5 AU/canon divergence. In which David lands (one of) his dream job at a wildlife conservation/rehab center and meets one of the staff, who is disheveled, arguing with a pangolin(he just wants cuddles), covered in dirt and at least 3 kinds of animal poo, and goes ‘uh oh’

Later at home...

I guess I was just afraid you’d be upset at me for trying to leave.

I’ll miss you, of course, but I could never be upset with you for chasing your dreams. I want to support you!

Gwenvid Week was so busy but oh so fun this year, I yet again await next year’s week!! (hopefully, a new season by then could motivate others to join in on the fun!!)

I wanna thank the people over at @gwenvidweek for hosting it this year despite no season 5 to accompany it, I look forward to it every year and I’m just really glad I was able to do it this year!!

Fri Sept 11 - AU/Canon Divergence

FINALLY, AN EXCUSE TO BUST THIS AU OUT

Okay I’ve been trying to work on a damn superhero au for God knows how long, I finally get to use it for something

David’s the new guy in town, and Gwen’s a superhero who’s just kinda burdoned with saving every dumbass in town. One night, David winds up getting mugged by this well known gang  in downtown, and it’s up to Gwen (known as “Night Sparrow” here) to save him. David, being a hopeless romantic, instantly crushes like the dumbass he is, but he’s convinced he’ll never see her again…

…Up until he meets his next door neighbor with very familiar lavender eyes…

Thurs Sept 10 - Day Off/Back to Civilization

I had an entire year to think of a name and decided “eh, Rocko” bc there were SOOO many tree names I could’ve chosen, but I feel like Gwen would suggest it for shits and giggles and David loved it.

@gwenvidweek day 2 - Explore/First aid Sometimes David manages to convince Gwen to go on a light hike off season to see some new places. She huffs and puffs a little but don’t let her tell you she’s not having a good time.
