This is My Choice

Gwen nodded and flipped over to a page with formulas on them. "Then we'll use your eyes," she said pointing to one of the formulas. "Can you follow this easily enough or would you like me to start with the basics?" she asked gently with a warm smile. She lifted her eyes to Garfield and could see the confusion in his dark eyes. "Okay lets go step by step," she offered getting scratch paper and writing the first compound down. "Do you know what elements make up this compound?" she asked pointing to the compound on the paper. "Don't over think it, you're going to be fine. I haven't failed yet and with me at your side and your awesome brain finding a workable way to study- you'll be unstoppable." She winked at him playfully.

"Germy, really? Really?" He shook his head, trying not to laugh. "I’m pretty sure we both know how DNA mutation works and what it can do… Fight Club sounds pretty good right now. But we can watch whatever you want if you let me put my feet on you."

"Yes germy, that's what I said because you're infested with disease," she teased wiggling her fingers cynically at him with a crinkle in her nose. She smiled at him and got the DVD out of its case to put in. "Ew I have to play host to your feet?" she asked in a girlish tone. "Gross!" she laughed softly and went back over to him once the DVD was in and playing. She sat at one end of the couch and patted her lap for his feet. "Alright prop em up and eat your soup."

Peter didn’t have anything to say on the manner, so he paused for a second before saying anything. “Spiders are arachnids.” And bugs were classified as small insects. He’d never pointed out before, he didn’t mind at all. Bugboy sounded much better then arachnidboy. But he didn’t have anything else to say. “And what movies are there to watch?”

Gwen crinkled her nose cutely and smiled. "Bugboy sounds better than arachnidboy," she said smartly before picking up some DVDs that had been on the table. "Well there's a documentary on mutation in DNA that led to the evolution of mankind, interesting," she said setting it down, "Fight Club, always a good movie," she added that to the first and she listed off a few others before looking back at him. "Any of them sound good germy?"

He took the bowl and tea, “I’m a grown man and I still think this is an acceptable meal, ” he said stirring the soup before taking a spoonful. “I’m not that sick, I wan’t to make sure you know. I’m fine.” He ate the spoonful.

Gwen smiled amused by his denial as she sat beside him and brushed her fingers through his hair. "I'm sure you're perfectly fine with your gravelly voice, red nose, and fevered complexion," she sassed with a smile. "What movie do you wanna watch Bugboy?"

Peter whined, but still slipped into his pajamas, a baggy t-shirt and pajama bottoms. He would’ve loudly whined at her as he changed if his throat didn’t hurt so much. He walked into the living room, dragging his feet and still whining. He was being over dramatic as he flopped onto the couch.

Gwen could hear him as she set the bowl of soup on the coffee table and added a mug of tea with honey. She glanced at him as he shuffled in, whining pitifully. "Oh you poor baby," she giggled walking over and taking his hand. "Come on, I made you lunch. It'll make you feel better," she encouraged as she pushed on his shoulders til he sat. "Chicken and stars, like when we were kids."

"No but… I’m Spider-Man, and Spider-Man’s not supposed to get sick. He’s supposed to save people, even when he’s sick. I’ll heal in like two hours and be fine, I’ll be fine."

She gave him a look. "You have five minutes to get into your pjs and meet me on the couch for soup and movies or I'm drugging you with Nyquil," she warned pointing at him and lifting her brows, daring him to test her. "Even superheros need a break and today is yours."

//Sick Peter would very much like to be taken care of. (Although hell refuse to admit he’s sick)

" i will stay on the couch , i remember pieces of what you said i am sorry to hear about you and pretty breaking up " 

Gwen nodded and walked with Eddie, dropping her arm but still holding his hand for comforting purposes, so he knew she was still there. "It's alright, things are kinda tough between us but- I'll be okay. Just like you," she smiled at him, "We'll both be okay."

"I don’t have anywhere to go my girlfriend took the apartment " 

Gwen felt sorry for Eddie, he really couldn't seem to catch a break. She had just gotten her own apartment in the city so she offered a gentle smile and nudged him sweetly, "You can stay with me. Until we get you on your feet."

" I am sorry gwen i am a monster " he whispered 

"Don't say that," she scolded shooting him a stern look. "That wasn't you, you didn't do that. It was Venom, we're going to get rid of it and you'll be fine. I promise." She glanced around. "Where do you live?"

He tried pulling himself up and leaned on gwen for support 

Gwen stumbled a bit as Eddie leaned against her but she steadied herself and helped him steady himself. "Come on, we'll get you home," she said smiling gently  and wrapping her arm around his middle and the other holding his hand.

Eddie just closed his eyes and did not know what to say and just layed there for a few moments " what are you going to do for me " 

"First I have to figure out how Venom lives in you, through your blood or- or whatever, then I'll figure something out. I'm Midtown's best, I'll help you, I promise but right now- let's just get you home," she said helping him to his feet. "I'll walk you."
