I'm not sure how I feel about Trespasser. A lot of it's very cute and feels like a nice send off for all the characters, but the ending (meaning the slideshow, mostly) feels a little limp, even acknowledging that it's just DLC and not a full game, and... I suppose this isn't a bad thing for a send off. There is a reason why things like soap operas, or whatever has replaced them these days, have overlapping storylines. Because you want people getting interested in the new thing while the old thing is ending. But the ending stops feeling like Inquisition and starts feeling like prep for the new game, but I'm not sure if I'm sold on all the elven lore stuff, even ignoring what people say Veilguard turned out to be. And, if I'm being extra uncharitable, I can kinda see why Veilguard took so long to make, even without all the nonsense studio management put them through. That ending feels like a full reset of the world that had been set up. Which is fine, I still think the Inquisition should have become the new dominant power in the world and stories and their settings do need to change and grow, but it feels like it turns into something I'm not interested in. It feels like too much of a reset maybe? I don't know, Solas does tell you his plan pretty early on in the main game, I guess.
Anyway, I don't know how I feel about it.
