TOLERANCE TRAINING FOR ETERNITY IN HELL (...which is Jane’s way of saying “Sunbathing”)
for anyone wondering, the last line Pete said is a reference to their D&D sessions in the pilot & comic. Jerry’s the dungeon master and has to roleplay as the female NPCs they flirt with, so they’re essentially just making moves on him
So Jane and Mandi aren’t allowed in the Club because of Bill, right? Well they like getting under his nerves for kicking them out in the first place by blasting girly pop music they know he’ll hate during Club meetings as loud as possible.
This is part of a bunch of Eltingville Club fan comics I made where Mandi meets the Club when they’re all teens and she and Jane play a bigger role in the story. I wanted them to play a bigger role in the story because I thought their perspectives on how they handle the Club’s bullshit is important too.
There’s a whole range of different kinds of shitty behavior girls get subjected to in fandom spaces. One of those is where some guys just can’t fathom seeing a girl in this space as a human being like anyone else cause they’re stuck viewing them as objects or options. I’ve seen guys instantly objectify girls in these settings just because they somehow think a girl having common interests as them means they have to shoot their shot when it really doesn’t. Treating girls as human beings instead of options really shouldn’t be hard to comprehend, but sadly a lot of guys would rather focus on how a girl can benefit them in some way instead of giving them the bare minimum of respect and treating girls like humans.
To summarize this mini comic: it’s about why guys who objectify nerdy or alternative girls suck and the guys who blame girls for being objectified suck too. Treating girls like humans shouldn’t be hard, and nobody should be slut shamed, objectified, or treated as less than human for what they wear.
Going more into detail on this subject since it's something that should be talked about with more depth:
Pete would stoop low enough to regularly subject Jane and Mandi to being objectified. He also feels entitled to them because they’re both alternative and have nerdy interests. Pete’s the kind of guy who would f//tishize alternative girls, project stereotypes on them because of how they dress, and assume they’re asking for attention they never wanted in the first place. Teenage Pete hasn't stooped as low as he did as an adult in the Epilogue, but Jane & Mandi really hate that he keeps hitting on them and trying to get their attention. They think it’s really pathetic since it’s obvious he learned how to talk to girls from p///*rn and movies made by guys who don’t know how to interact with women. Pete doesn’t really talk to girls in the first place though, he’s usually nervous around most girls even if he doesn’t wanna admit that. Only reason why he has the audacity to be this blunt around Jane & Mandi is cause they’re within proximity, and he got way too comfortable by being around them for a while. It really sucks from Jane’s perspective too since Pete wasn’t like this when they were kids, and he actually treated her like a person back then. It just shows that this mentality is taught, and guys aren’t predispositioned to think with their d///ks. It's a choice to objectify women, and the guys who act like they can’t control it just want an excuse to absolve themselves from facing consequences for their behavior.
Bill having a sister is a pretty interesting concept too that we never saw in the comic. I feel like despite how often they fight he’d still be kind of protective of Jane, but in the wrong ways. Bill is misogynistic beyond belief and treats his sister like garbage because of his hatred for women, but he’d be a massive hypocrite about it whenever anyone else treats her like shit. Mainly because I wrote Bill & Jane being close in the past, they’re a year apart in my lore and practically grew up as best friends before they fell out. So I see him being protective whenever any other guy insults her or objectifies her since he sees her as an extension of himself. Meaning that even if he's "defending" her, he's doing it out of selfishness too since another guy making comments like that about his sister since she's directly tied to his social standing. He’d still blame her for getting objectified though even though it isn’t her fault some guy objectified her. That’s cause Bill’s just too much of a coward to actually stand up for his sister the right way and confront a guy, blaming his sister for someone else’s behavior is easier for him to do.
I’ve seen a lot of guys do this where they act like they’re “protecting” their female relatives, but they aren’t focusing on the wellbeing of their female relatives at all. For guys like this, defending a female relative is more about policing boundaries and asserting dominance over other men than it is about defending women. And Bill would definitely have this mentality since he cares more about his ego than anything. I see Bill being one of those guys that needs to be told “think about your mom or your sister being in this situation” in order to feel a slight shred of sympathy for a girl he berates. I don’t think Bill would ever reconsider his actions, but I always hated that phrase cause why should he even have to think about his mom or sister being in that situation to see a girl as human? He should just see women as humans to begin with.

For anyone unfamiliar with The Eltingville Club, it’s a story about why toxic behavior in fandom culture is wrong. The toxic behavior exhibited by the villainous characters includes prejudice towards marginalized groups, which is condemned within the story. The characters’ views do not reflect my own, and the characters are an example of how you should NOT act.
I think Bill and Pete spent a lot of days in the summer stuck burning outside cause they didn't wanna have to go home and deal with the constant fighting with their families. They don’t exactly like each other’s company, but they think it’s better than being at home. Bill and Pete are the kind of guys who are fine with being miserable together and I think that’s why they sort of get along.
I always read them having this a weird friendship built on similar trauma where they both enable each other at their worst. Like when both of them started encouraging each other to start a fight at the Zombie Crawl. They’d never say it directly but I think Bill and Pete both find it weirdly comforting that there’s someone out there that’s fucked up too. They don’t need to talk about how they feel or explain why they’re pissed off and hate everything, there’s just a mutual unspoken understanding on why they lash out. And as long as one of them isn’t affecting the other negatively when they're pissed, they wouldn’t have any reason to care or stop them since they’re both selfish.
Not a healthy way to look at friendship, but it’s not like Bill or Pete ever cared about that.
These pages are old but i never posted the version of it without text on here. I purposely made these pages mirror each other based on their color schemes. Mainly cause I had this idea that Mandi and Bill are similar personality wise since I see them both being temperamental and passionate about their interests, the difference is that Mandi handles it way more healthily and their views are entirely different. The reason why I came to that conclusion and decided to write Mandi the way I do in my stories was cause she wasn’t scared to tell Bill off or defend Jerry during the Epilogue. I also think Jerry was drawn to her because he just prefers someone who’s more assertive. I think he liked Bill for the same reason back when they were younger since Bill used to actually stand up for him instead of putting him down.
The original posts can be read here and here. The pages with Mandi are based on an Elseworlds story I wrote where Mandi met the Club when they were all teens.
I already expanded on Jane as a character too but I plan on eventually expanding on the other characters we didn’t see much of (ex: Iron Jaw, Ward, etc.) just to make the story feel more complete and fill in what we missed out on.
Just read the last issue of Narco and had to draw some fan art. I ended up reading this comic after finding the Scream variant cover of Issue 1 a couple months ago and got hooked on it. I really recommend it if you haven't read it yet and like stories about solving murder cases!!
I also just ordered Plastic by the same creators and can't wait to read it.
I think Jerry's the kind of person who has a hard time stopping himself from clinging to the past. It’s why he somehow even reminisces about all the awful things that went down with the Club. He still focuses on how they used to be before things started getting toxic. It’s hard for him to see things for what they actually and not the idealized version he desperately wants it to be.
Jerry might’ve finally left the Club behind after the Epilogue, but I think he would still miss them even if he isn’t going back this time. I think it would still be really hard for him to let go emotionally, and it would take years to accept that everything that happened wasn’t okay.
I think that letting go of Bill would be really hard for him despite finding someone better who doesn’t treat him poorly. It’s not that Jerry doesn’t care about Mandi, it’s just that Bill conditioned Jerry to prioritize him over everything else. It’s why I think Jerry left Mandi in the riot to go save Bill first, regardless of how Bill treated him. Jerry responding that way even after years of having no contact with Bill is honestly realistic. The fact that it still affects Jerry just shows how severe the abuse that Bill subjected him to was.
I also think Mandi would be really upset with Jerry for leaving her and choosing to save Bill. She does understand why Jerry reacted that way, since it isn’t always easy for of victims to just leave their abusers. She’s still hurt that Jerry did that though, and I think it would take a while for her to forgive him even if she’s still trying to give him the support he needs.

I reanimated one of my favorite parts of This Fan This Monster. This is the longest animaton I made so far. I’m still learning how to do more complicated stuff but I’m really proud of this 😊Jerry's the kind of person who has a hard time stopping himself from clinging to the past and

pride month might be over but we staying supportive no matter what time of year it is 🌈
made this based off of a My Little Pony meme I found. I think that if Bill had a YouTube channel, almost all his videos would consist of him screaming about something dumb and constantly falling for ragebait that he makes 2-5 hour long videos responding to

Billie Has A Crush on Someone ([Femc]Eltingville Club Animation)
This is Wilhemina Elena Dickey, but she just goes by Billie. She's just as horrible as Bill is and likes to pick fights she can't win over the dumbest things ever. She also has roaches for roommates and keeps spending money on posters every time she punches a new hole in her walls, but that's expected for an alternate version of Bill.
(feat. her 3 girlfriends that she keeps breaking up and getting back together with: Joss, Jeri, and Pietra) ❤️🧡🤍🩷
I have another Class of 09 x Eltingville animation I’m working on. It's BillJosh centric cause it's my 2nd favorite out of my 3 Bill ships (BillJer, BillJosh, and BillPete). I'll try to get it done soon 😁
Song in the background is Cereal Material by Gezebelle Gaburgably
The new Masters of the Universe Movie is out so I drew Mandi and Jerry cosplaying as Teela and Prince Adam. Jerry’s a fan of Masters of the Universe, and I figured Mandi would be too since her and Jerry bonded over the same interests. I also think it’s fitting for them to dress up as a prince and his body guard since she defended him a lot in the Epilogue. I think she really helped him learn how to stand up for himself too.
I have a headcanon that Mandi gets Jerry to cosplay with her a lot, even if he gets embarrassed. Jerry doesn’t think he can pull of a He-Man cosplay cause he’d be the lankiest He-Man ever, but Mandi reassured him he didn’t need to worry about looking exactly like the character. Her cosplay isn’t fully accurate either since she customized it and made it a mix of both the 80s and 2002 continuity. Mandi’s Ghostbusters cosplay wasn’t accurate in the comic either, but she mainly just cared about having fun.
+ I know Jerry mentions working out in the Epilogue, but I think he just does it for general health reasons since his main focus is still on Magic the Gathering. I think his build would be similar to how he already looked since he was lanky to begin with, but now he looks more toned and filled out instead of being really skinny under his clothes.
Second page totally happened I swear!! Bill & Jerry get married and live happily ever after and nothing bad happens to them at all. No fires get started, no riots break out or anything, they just decide to go to couples counseling and learn from their mistakes!!!! In some alternate universe maybe.
If you're familiar with all the stuff I wrote before, I always saw Bill lashing out at Mandi during the Eltingville Epilogue as partially driven by jealousy. Seeing how Bill reacted it felt like more than just wanting to gatekeep fandom away from her. Bill just used Mandi "invading" fandom or his Club as an excuse to get angry at her in a way he thought was "justified" when it wasn't.
I always saw it that way cause that wasn't the first time Bill lashed out over the thought of a girl being with Jerry. Agnes didn't even date Jerry, but the thought of them dating was enough to get Bill to lash out at her too in the pettiest way possible. With the way Josh worded it in the Epilogue, it sounded like Bill invited Agnes to his house just to pick a fight with her.
Bill's also specifically possessive of Jerry compared to his other friends. He never cared about Pete mentioning being with anyone, but the moment he saw Jerry with Mandi he did everything he could to antagonize Mandi on purpose. Aside from that, I also thought Bill was jealous of Mandi in general since she's practically living the life he wanted. She's successful in her fandom related career as a reporter where people actually listen to what she has to say, meanwhile he just wastes his time being angry about fandom instead of doing anything productive with his hobbies.
Here's the fan comic I gave out on the first day of the Nerd Inferno Tour! I still think it's pretty crazy that Evan let me be a part of the signing that day and give out my fan comic. This is the first comic I ever had printed out, and even if I'm starting small I seriously appreciate the support Evan showed for it and for my other artwork for the past year.
Evan's at New Dorp comic con today, and I encourage everyone who's in the area to stop by if they can and show Evan some support 😄 I can't make it this time around, but I would've gone if I could.
~~
To summarize the comic, it's short story with a similar tone to the early Eltingville comics. It's about Mandi and Jane trolling Bill cause he's a chud that won't stop giving them shit for being "fake fans" and picking fights he can't finish. Mandi's still a teen in this and she met the Club a lot sooner in this Elsworlds/AU. So she's still immature, has a lot of growing to do, and has some toxic traits herself (but not to the extent of Bill, Pete, Josh or Jane).
As a teen, Mandi still has a bad habit of escalating arguments into fights instead of doing the mature thing and just shutting it down like she did in the Epilogue. Mandi and Bill still argued in the Epilogue, but it took a while for her to realize it wasn't worth arguing with him. I think that it took her a long time to learn that as a teen since walking away from arguments is a skill some people struggle to learn even when they're older. With the way I wrote her based off what little we saw of her in the Epilogue, if she met Bill earlier they would've ended up fighting a lot since they're both temperamental and really opinionated.
This part isn't in this comic, but Mandi does slowly change for the better later on just like Jerry did if you kept up with the lore in my AU ❤️🖤

+ some extras where Pete also gets trolled by the girls because he sucks and I hate him (he's my second favorite character in the Club)

Party Tonight (Eltingville Club x Regular Show Animation)
Had to make this cause Regular Show's back with a new season and me and my friend were talking about what would happen if Bill and Pete had to work at the park. I think they'd be 10000000x more destructive than Mordecai and Rigby but they'd lose a lot more fights
+ heres some headcanons about the Club when it comes to video games since I animated them playing Guitar Hero:
I think Josh and Jerry are the best at video games out of the Club. Josh's parents have enough money to buy him the games and consoles he wants so he always ends up spending a lot of time on games. If they were Gen Z I think Josh would have day long Destiny marathons and it would probably end up like the Twilight Zone story did. Josh would also have all the expensive skins on any game he got his hands on just so he can flex on all his friends. Josh would be the kind of guy who just refuses to ever take breaks from games until he wins, no matter how pissed he's getting at whatever game he's playing.
I think Jerry would spend a lot of time playing video games too, he prefers card games and board games but I know he'd spend hours on Zelda, Pokemon, and Fire Emblem. I think Jerry would be the kind of Pokemon trainer who tries too hard to get perfect IVs for competitive teams. Him and Josh battle whenever they bring their Gameboys (or DS? depending on when it takes place) to school. I also feel like Bill would just make Jerry trade him shinies and legendaries cause Bill doesn't wanna put the effort into getting them himself.
Pete would be the worst at video games cause his family doesn't have the money to get him new games or consoles and when he does his friends always move on to the next new thing. Instead he's just a backseat gamer who talks shit whenever Bill, Josh, or Jerry are losing at whatever game they're playing even though he has no right to talk. Pete would also get into Castelvania vs Metroid arguments with Josh despite never beating a Castlevania game.
Bill would be pretty bad at video games too cause he rages and gives up way too easily. He has so many broken controllers in his room because of it. Bill mostly prefers watching or reading instead of interactive media cause he hates the feeling of losing at anything. He'd still buy games though just for the sake of being able to be part of the fandom. Bill always makes Jerry come over and beat the levels he can't get through while he watches Jerry play. I think Jerry would purposely lose at any competitive game he plays against Bill just so Bill doesn't get mad at him too. Josh would give Jerry shit for going easy on him though.
I rarely do traditional art now that I have a tablet but here’s some quick flashcard doodles I made for Evan and everybody at JHU as a way to say thanks for the gifts and for letting me be a part of the signing last week. I almost forgot to post these til I saw my drawings in the corner of Evan’s new post 😂
I also forgot to post it but I got my Lego Boba Fett signed. I made sure to get the Lego version so that the head can be removable without damaging the figure.
Here's the song I used on the Instagram version of this post, the post is funnier with it
