Following with my theme of building steam engine mecha from last year, this year I created Saisei. The Gundam of rebirth. I often felt sad I couldn’t take the suits off the diorama from Steam Siege, so I decided to make a standalone unit. Saisei was my first project of the year, after suffering from a huge burnout and break from the hobby, I came back strong and reborn along with this guy. I had a lot of fun making him, and I feel as though Saisei reminded me of my roots, to just have fun with Gunpla again.
