Waiting outside of Gunner’s door was actually quite agonising, even if Mortel wouldn’t dare admit it. He leaned back against the wall on the other side of the hallway, chuckling quietly as he bit back a grin at the sound of Gunner telling him he’d be right there. The sound of things hitting the wall was something that wiped the smile away for just a second before it was back, and Tel couldn’t help it. He was excited for the time that he’d have with Gunner, looking forward to every moment of the fact that he would get to spend it with the werewolf that he loved. “Hello,” Tel responded with a chuckle once Gunner finally opened the door. “It sounds like you had a bit of a scuffle with the hallway in there.” There were a multitude of things that Tel knew he could do in this moment, but he wasn’t quite sure which one he was willing to try when it came to Gunner. Despite their happenings in the library, that didn’t really change the fact that Tel didn’t know where he stood with the werewolf, so he let Gunner lead the way and followed what the werewolf deemed reasonable instead of starting anything that could possibly cause tension between them. A soft laugh escaped Tel’s lips as he looked at Gunner. “I’m going,” he assured the werewolf as he made his way back down the stairs to the car, glancing back at Gunner the entire way.

"What? Oh, yeah, just got into a fight with a bear. No big deal." Flashing a crooked smirk, Gunner stepped by Mortel and pulled the door closed behind him, making sure it locked with a quick shake of the doorknob. As he walked, he tucked his wallet into his back pocket, his index finger slipping through the hoop of his keys and his other hand clutching tightly to his phone -- until he realised the irrelevance and also deposited that into a pocket. He looked over to Mortel once sorted and couldn't help the expression of fond that passed over him; the ex-vampire had been his first love, and saying the relationship was 'intense' felt like an understatement to the boy. There was no way he could ever forget what they went through, what had happened recently, and the way he felt. Mortel would always have a piece of his heart, no matter where they were or what kind of life he lived. It was hard to keep that in check and since Gunner wasn't one who excelled in the 'self control' element, he couldn't help his natural want to walk in step right next to the human. The warmth radiating from Tel was new but not unwanted, and Gunner was unapologetic as he reached for the mans hand, lacing their fingers together as he walked towards the car. He acted indifferent, playing it off as casual as he asked, with a devilish smirk, "Does it feel weird? You know, being full of blood and stuff."

Gunner was always thankful for summer rolling around; it meant no classes, more free time, a perfect excuse to be drinking at 10am, and swimming (also less clothes, but even in winter he didn't wear much). There was a negative, and that was when he had nothing to do in his spare time. He could watch his favorite series on Netflix or maybe wander down the streets of town, flirt with a few strangers, find a new poetry book and sit at the beach to read it, but he wasn't in the mood for that all the time. At the present, he was too busy running around his flat, trying to find clean clothes as Mortel came over. He managed to find a pair of black jeans on the floor next to his bed, jumping around as he tugged them up his legs, and simply shrugging at the rips over his knees. When the knock on the door sounded through the apartment, Gunner only had one of his arms in his black and white stripey shirt. "Shit," He murmured, before raising his voice and yelling in response. "Be there in a minute!" He ended up headbutting the wall as he tugged his socks and doc marten boots on, taking off towards the door in a fluid movement afterwards, his arms reaching out to grab his wallet, phone and keys from the bowl by the door and opening it with his spare hand. "Hello, handsome." The werewolf greeted his former lover breathlessly; his breath escaped him half from the minor run and half because he still felt paralyzed by looking at Mortel. "Alright, you saw the car on your way in so pip pip. Get your arse into gear. You've got a tattoo to get."
