i feel like making falspar a master at minesweeper is an appropriate choice.
no you dont get any context for why i think so. he can do what she wants to in his free time and the thing she wants is minesweeper and other logic puzzles
the names for baby puffballs and baby breezy are nubbins and blobbies respectively, and on a similar note, as mentioned before the names of groups of each of them are a cluster of puff and a nebula of breezy, however, that also carries over to their baby counterparts, being called a cluster of nubbins and a nebula of blobbies. these younger names do carry for a decent time, both being used up until an individual is about 100 or so for each species, aka about the time they lose the trait that gave them the name. puffs having their nubs grow into semi full paws, only completing into full, 4 fingered paws at the 1000 mark, and breezy gaining the ability to float entirely and begin growing their signature grabbers in a similar respect, however the range of what they gain is far greater, ranging from ribbon like extremities, to hand like ones, to beyond, as well as begin forming their own shapes.
all in all puffs tend to have one universal shape to them, with things like colors, fur type, wings, hair, magic abilities, etc, distinguishing them from others of their species. breezy on the other hand, while starting out on the brighter side, tend to lose the colors on their main body over time (turning them some form of black color), the said previous color either going to their eye, extremities, or magic, and with the wide range of shapes they come in, its hard to mix members of either species up with themselves.

candy doo!! they’re a confectioner and general candy maker by trade and because of how their eye beams work, they accidentally teleport to a random location. its not alarmingly common but its enough to where it has gotten used to having a case of candy near by to give it to whoever they run into upon teleportation.
they have their own little shop on a planet right next to popstar, and has occasionally had meta knight visit to buy their lollipops (in an unrecognizable, unarmored state) to put the enchantments needed to make them invincible candies! after a certain point candy dee just decided to show him how to make them
candy’s signature is a rounded little star, usually added to their sweets as a little charm with varying color depending on the season.

i imagine that, in the air riders universe, the controls of gigantes make no sense to anyone who actually pilots anything at all, and for anyone who doesn’t pilot its worse, since the controls aren’t intuitive in the slightest. they certainly mimic the control style of the ancients’ tech, but since galactic nova didnt properly see them up close (because of being a big fuck off clock), and since it doesnt have any controls of its own to reference, it took a shot in the dark with it for the blurry wish to grant.
any repairs to try and make the controls make more sense are reverted whenever seen. and its extra chaotic if anyone assembles it during city trial
two things, ive finished drawing (most) of the rest of the meta knights and tacked on sword and blade bc i thought it would be fun for them to fully be in the crew too
i also drew little unarmored versions for most of them aside from javelin and mace because those two are either a magic based automaton or a cyborg. axe is just bald, trident is a cloud of smog like sir kibble and falcata would be, sword knight is a bat based creature bc i thought it would be a fun reason for the helmet to be shaped like that (gotta have space for the ears), and blade knight is based on a spider because lil spider paws was a cute idea to me, and bug blade is a fun concept overall. they just have a decorative plume on their helmet is all. sailor dee is also just bald without the hat. tho its less armor and more of a signifier of who they are
meet the last generals of the old GSA, Galeni, the top general and an incredibly skilled and pretty old puffball, as they are around 3000 years old, and their second, Falcata, a member of the “species” sir kibble is, known galaxy wide as armored, faceless (in a more literal sense), undead individuals. Falcata had known Galeni for about 2000 years before the two stepped down, and she was the one to update and improve Arthur’s training. The two’s weapons are wildly different, Galeni opting for a more ominous and floaty style, by using their bubble ability to trap and destroy enemies, and Falcata opting for a classic cutter, attaching it to become the collar of her cape rather than be on her helmet
the two of them together are on the harsher side, and galeni especially has more of the reputation for it. after stepping down (and having their individual chats for each of the new generals) they decided to live on a planet on the edge of one of the least busy sectors of the galaxy. at some point they intend to visit how the new gsa has been going but neither Falcata nor Galeni are up to it and until one of them are, they’ll both be keeping to themselves and keeping the few solar systems they’re near problem free.

going further into my characterizations of arthur and nonsurat, and ive just made arthur equally competent and a soggy wet creature.
yeah he has fighting skill, yeah, he’s good at talking, yeah, he’s overall good at what he does. but also arthur in the past has had several times where he was maybe a few extra bad days away from mentally snapping.
that has been staved off by a variety of things in his life, such as drugs (way in the past), putting every ounce of focus into working on things like missions or jobs (in the past and somewhat now), trying to have half of a normal hour with nonsurat (several points. really early in his life, in the old gsa when time allowed for it, in the new gsa when not trying to balance the lives of every member now under his and eventually other’s command). he has also gone the route of being incredibly shut off and snappy, especially after the new gsa fell for a while. he stopped that at about the moment he nearly ran one of the other generals through with his sword when getting startled after not seeing them for years.
nonsurat isnt off the hook for story bs either tho. they are just on the more predictable and “stable” side of things for others looking in because of being more so a creature of consistency. their coping mechanisms being one of those, most of which include preening the feathers on their wings (or just general wing care), fixing, sharpening, or creating new weapons, most commonly one would see them messing with their signature axe. they are also known to vanish for several hours and when asked after showing up again state they’ve been reorganizing records. again. and again. and again. they’ve also been known to get very deep into several projects at once all at different stages, because, in their own words, it lets them always have something to do if one project is on cooldown or something. on top of that, getting into duals and training fights is something they have sparingly done because it burns a lot of energy
they are both opposites and incredibly similar in different ways (tho i havent talked about many similarities have i?)
i do also have some characterization for falspar and dragato but i havent talked too much about them. or thought about them too much either bc my brain likes the odd parallels between nonsurat & arthur, and ekanite & vandula (ocs) (dragato and falspar can be asked about tho, if yall want)
backstory behind this drawing and explanation behind some of the details (plus extra story buts and bobs)
this occurs sometime during nonsurat and arthur’s much younger days within the old gsa, an organization different in almost every single way compared to its modern “version”, to begin with, its name, (despite the acronym being the same) being called the Galaxy Soldier Army, making its money through being weaponry and guards for hire for anyone willing to pay enough (something a few within the old organization did not agree with, however money was money was life.) the hierarchy of it was much different too, being far more strict and much more reliant on the direction of the top general specifically, who was (and still is called) galeni, a puff who, despite their bright colors and “light” ability, bubble, was incredibly scary.
the specific mission (as mentioned in arthur’s og post from me) was a scouting one, and involved not only arthur and nonsurat, but several others as well, to make sure a scientific mission they had also been hired to help guard went well and was safely hidden. from what, the group were not told, but they were on high alert regardless. what none of the group knew was that this was a very specifically made test, both of fighting skill, loyalty to the gsa, and commitment to their assigned task. and after they had surveyed enough for the scientists to land, the trap had been set and triggered, as some of the demon beasts that had been contained “for observation” had gotten out into the surrounding environment, unknown to some of the gsa members still scouting ahead (one of which being arthur). this lead to a panic, the scientists abandoning their position and, as instructed, taking both their own and the gsa group’s transport ships with them, leaving the group behind. a few decided to use the mission as their ticket out of the gsa, some died, and others had gotten picked off on the way back to their base planet. arthur and nonsurat certainly weren’t the only two to get back to base, but they were certainly rewarded for their behavior. (unknown to him, arthur had been bumped up in the list of individuals to possibly take galeni’s place eventually).
during the end of the mission, two things occurred to give arthur and nonsurat their individual scars and damage or permanently parts of their armor. arthur specifically got attacked by a mechanical beast, who broke part of his armor, and shattered the piece that otherwise covered his face, and yoinking him into the air by his uncovered face, leaving a scar, and giving an odd anxiety about being too far from the solid ground (something that was so prevalent, it even reflected onto his mirror counterpart). nonsurat’s event was even worse, as they tried to get back the transport ship to get rammed by an organic beast, sending their mask flying to never be seen again, and spitting acid onto them, (which could only be reflected by their mirror ability so well, forcing them to remove their suit, and eventually the toxins in the acid causing them to go unconscious. the only way the two of them made it off the planet to get even a little bit closer was because of arthur dragging nonsurat to a spot clear enough to call his own warp star to take them both out of there. they were the last ones to make it back to the base.
the drawing takes place as the two of them wait to be taken care of at the medic’s, as they were not on the only “test mission” at the time. arthur’s sword is set on the medical bed and he holds nonsurat’s axe, which, because of their unconsciousness, was not able to be un-summoned by them, causing it to need to be physically taken back to base. the two of them are both in messy states, nonsurat carefully placed on the bed in spite of it, (care taken to not unclip the dimensional cape from its spot, unleashing the wings in the already somewhat cramped medical area. arthur has tears mostly because of the pain from his injury, but also, in part, out of worry for nonsurat and if they would wake up soon enough. it took a few days for them to wake up. (this old worry was brought back and increased ten-fold many years later after getting nonsurat, and a few others also taken by nightmare for experimentation, back, as they didnt wake up from that for a few weeks.)
in comparison to the old one, the “new” gsa, aka the Galactic Star Alliance, (as new as nearly 700 years can be in the grand scheme of things) has, first off, a much more spread out order of command, of course starting out with the generals (currently being the four relatively known and loved), with one being the head general, like the one most not familiar with anything else would be familiar with, as well as the technical leader, however with enough work or in enough of a panic of sorts, their orders can be overridden (the head general is arthur for now). as well with all that, the organization is far more non profit based, using most money either earned through various minor services offered by the generals’ regiments (or groups that the generals typically have “sole” command over because of certain specialities held by an individual. not all are in regiments, but most are in one way or another), or through being given money by other organizations and planets in the galaxy for upkeep, decent quality in items and food for whatever species joins, and occasionally safety systems. some of these systems are on the newer side, as before the forceful breaking of the gsa and nightmare’s death, there had been far too much chaos and caution to fully develop said systems.
i made and finished some art of @post-it-notes7’s mirror nonsurat and mirror arthur being relatively cute because i read that one bit in the “No Good Deed” fic and am running with it.

ekanite has: demi romantic, only having romantic attraction when close with someone, and lesbian, of which he considers to also include genderqueer identities (not that he’s felt much attraction to others besides vandula, who is genderless as can be)
vandula: greyromantic, bisexual, agender. doesnt use pronouns, and rarely feels romantic attraction
that is ekanite’s actual smile, where he is kinda biting his tongue a little while smiling. vandula’s smile is on the thinner side but its not too hard to figure out if an expression is happy there
yes ekanite is standing on an ice platform he made, its a frequent thing, especially since the magic needed to maintain it helps balance things out for him
