New instrument to ring hummingbirds.
I occasionally leave the tropics to teach courses or explain tropical bird ringing. Sussex University in Brighton (UK), Verona and Cesenatico (Italy), Sorbonne Université (Paris) and this past week at the University of Barcelona (Catalonia) have been the recent circuit.
I want to highlight the happiness that I have had to present in my country the new ringing system and the new instrument to ring hummingbirds with higher quality and less effort. A tool that will facilitate the work of Hummingbird and tiny bird ringers around the world, developed in recent months and that I offer with open hands to whoever wants to know and use it.
For now, today I am already on a plane to test it in half a dozen countries in the Neotropics, at the end of the year in tropical Africa and next year in Asia.
