ahn siyeon, 29 years old, senior social media manager.
her family comes from money. her dad is a 3rd generation business man who met her mom through an arranged marriage. now, most couples who met under the same circumstances rarely fall in love for real but her parents did. less than a year after being married, siyeon came into the picture and two years after that, her younger sister, then two years after that, her baby sister.
her mom is a stay-at-home mom and very much present in their lives. siyeon was brought up with warmth and was encouraged to be curious about life and the world. she remembers long days spent outside with her sisters, running around their backyard or diving into the pool. she was signed up in all the classes you can think of, from ballet and jazz, violin and piano, pottery and photography, to even learning coding as a kid.
siyeon looked up to her mom as her own fashion icon. her mom likes to collect pieces from luxury brands and learned brand names from an early age just from sneaking into her mom's closet, where she and her sisters would often hold their own fashion show.
growing up, siyeon always had a magazine under her arm and stacks of them piling up in her room. she was completely enamoured by each brand's new pieces and the passionate storytelling of editors who contribute to each magazine.
she was lucky to have a mom who has an interest in fashion and has the means to bring her to seoul fashion week when she was 16 years old, getting the first taste of the fast paced industry. siyeon soaked it all up, brandishing her own phone to remember the experience for herself.
siyeon didn't have much of a presence on social media at first, posting her video of attending her first fashion week for her friends to see, but soon the video went viral. siyeon's curiosity got the better of her and she started tracking her numbers, from engagements and metrics to seo and keywords, siyeon started posting grwms and ootds that hit the right audience at the right time. her social media account went from 1.5k followers to almost 100k in just a span of a couple weeks, from then on she started her youtube channel within the fashion and lifestyle space.
siyeon continued posting as she went to university, documenting her days as a digital media & visual communication major at seoul women's university then started a high successful video series of her move to london for a year during her master's program. even before graduating, she was already contacted by british vogue for their editorial and marketing internship which she gladly accepted.
with that under her belt, she returns to korea with her sights on harper's bazaar korea's internship where she re-learned the landscape of fashion in korea. as an intern, she was given the chance to attend assist the editors during fashion week where she was tasked to hit record and make sure the camera stayed stable.
not wanting to part ways after her internship ended, siyeon stayed in contact with her colleagues that did the internship with her. it was bittersweet but they all eventually found a place within the industry. siyeon's was elle korea where she worked as a social media coordinator for three years, contributing to the growth of their socials and the strengthening of their branding.
it was at this point that she was glad that she kept in contact with her colleagues all these years because when the senior social media manager position became vacant in highbrow, her name was on the list to be considered. of course, siyeon didn't hesitate to take this chance and make it hers. which leads us to today, where she gets her colleagues to film silly tiktok trends that lives in her hard drive because it's never approved by the higher ups to be posted.
she's extremely hard working and takes on too much on her plate but she believes it shows that she works well under pressure, all while still delivering exceptional work and numbers despite her lack of sleep. she takes her job seriously, knowing how crucial social media is to brand's reputation and influence.
her personality is in the border between a type a and type b person. she's extremely organized, mostly because she has to due to the nature of her job and constantly drowning in her content calendar. but she's also really scatterbrained (adhd girlies pull up) but she believes that that's where her best ideas strike. she may look intimidating at first but she's a genuine person once you get to know her. there's a rumour in the office that she's extremely rich but because she never flaunts it, it remains a rumour that she neither confirms nor deny. she's extremely approachable in and out of the office once the initial intimidation wears off, often initiating or joining casual team dinners or team building activities.
she has an eye for style and good predictions on where trends are going, sometimes being too knee deep in the social media numbers game. she's known at the office to have the most randomest things that you can borrow. battery pack? wireless charger? selfie light in a specific temp? measuring tape? weighted blanked? she probably has them stored in her drawers.
not so fun fact: she's currently happily engaged to an npc man that may or may not cheat on her and she eventually finds out (maybe ur muse knows sth), cancels the engagement and kinda spiral for a little bit. idk i think it builds character :"

someone who helps her get over her ex fiance aha xD by accidentally sleeping together and saying it was a one time thing but it ends up being a two-time thing that ends up being a multiple-time thing.
