I wonder if Jesper ever celebrated his birthday all by himself while in Smeerensburg. His bday was likely closer to the beginning of his time there, because if it was at the middle or end of it (when he had a bond with the townspeople), it likely would have been a scene in the movie.
His father came to collect him from Smeerensburg early, before his time was up. āDad, whatāre you doing here? Time isnāt up yet. Iāve still got a few days untilā¦ā. Sooo his arrival date was likely close to Christmas at least... We know that. (Also, while rambling his woes away to MĆ”rgu, heās all like, āIām running out of time! There, I said it! Itās almost Christmas already, and I stillā¦ā Hmmm, Christmas? okayyy?) His birthday probably was Q1 or maybe Q2 of the year, but again, it would make sense for it to be Q1 due to how much heās stressing about Christmas specifically. What if his father finally decided to kick him out because it was nearing his birthday, and he was thinking about how his nepo baby son is like 35 years old and doing fuckall with his life?
Also, he was depressed/fell demotivated for a good portion of the beginning of his time there, as seen by the days marked by tallies in the post office, that little time lapse, and his stubbled appearance. So, what if it was his birthday during that time? Because again, he was a pampered prissy evil twink. If he was doing well during his bday, he probably would have celebrated it himself. He's likely used to celebrations back at home and wouldnāt skip out on that if he could help it.
