Family Of Four (my headcanon AU for The Doom Syndicate)
It's the annual Villain fest again for The Doom Syndicate, where they can go explore and have fun,
but this year Villain fest is different for them, Lady Doppler and Pierre Pressure only mission in this fest is to safe Behemoth and Lord Nighty-Knight from fading away
after the Machiavillain situation, Behemoth is only left with a stone head, as we can see from the show, and as for Nighty, the sunlight got to him at last
and soon enough, Behemoth is reduced to only a pebble and Nighty is reduced to a shadow core, the both non humans are left with only their soul
when this horrifying situation happens, villain fest is approaching, and their lucky group found a monster revival scientist that revives monsters that lost their powers and it's slowly fading away
they contacted the scientist and booked a slot for the revival of Behemoth and Nighty
and when that day came, they placed Behemoth and Nighty both in a delicate box to avoid their soul flying off, and left for the single mission
the villain fest is full of noises from villains everywhere, but Pierre and Doppler are too focused on their mission to care
"Do you have the map for this year villain fest? ma chérie"
Pierre called out to Doppler, as he is the one that holds the delicate box
"wait, I'm searching for it, sugar"
now both of them are looking at the map with rushness in them
they both looked at each other
and they both ran to the shortest distance for the scientist booth
they passed by multiple booth, even their favourites, all for Behemoth and Nighty
at last, they reached to the booth
"uhh, names Doppler, we booked for your revival session three days ago!"
the scientist looked at the tensed duo and their eyes flickered
"ohh, it's you, come in!"
Doppler and Pierre sat on the chair that the scientist had prepared
"so, where is Behemoth and Lord Nighty-Knight?"
Pierre slowly opened the delicate box, and the scientists eye widened a bit
they never see monsters this destroyed before, but he is confident that there might be a 1% chance of revival
Pierre gave the entire box to them
"now, sit here as I try to revive them, as from our conversation from the last three days, revival might not be 100% successful"
the scientist gave them a warning before he starts
the both duo replied at the same time
"lets start with Nighty, since he's only left with a shadow core..."
the scientist lifted nighty shadow core delicately
and placed him in a petri dish
"let me grab the shadow charger to charge him..."
the scientist narrates their doing because to him, Doppler and Pierre looks like a stressed mom and dad to them, and their kids are the monsters that they want to revive, and he had met with actual parents before, so he used his experience in here
and the shadows from the charger started to flow out to Nighty
the scientist saw that Nighty recovery percentage is not moving at all, it's stuck in 0%
instead of narrating their seeing, they move onto Behemoth
"so Doppler, Behemoth is a magma rock monster am I right?"
"then lets revive Behemoth while waiting for Nighty"
Behemoth pebble is placed delicately in a beaker, and the beaker is filled with stone and magma
"now, lets start to charge energy to the beaker!"
the scientist flipped the switch
the scientist suddenly gave a sharp breath
the worst case scenario is confirmed
"uhh... I have news to break..."
the both leaned close to hear
"well, don't panic you two..."
"but I can't revive them at all, my materials don't work on them!"
both are taken aback with shock at their face
"they are really at their critical moments, it's like turning on a flashlight with dead batteries..."
the scientist is prepared to tell them that maybe the human revival scientists can help, but before they drops the referral, the both duo are alr in a state of hopelessness
"is there anyway that we can still save them!!???"
Doppler emotion got to her, she started to scream, not directly on the scientist, but her movement almost charged at the scientist put Pierre managed to stop her
Pierre gave a sorry look to the scientist
"actually, there is still hope, Doppler, calm down first"
and the scientist gave them time to calm down
"are you both calmed down?"
the scientist broke the slient, as the lab now reeks in smell of burnt magma and shadows
"yes we are, thank you..."
"there is a human revival scientist opposite of my booth, I heard from them that the only thing you need is a soul, which is what you both have currently..."
Doppler and Pierre looked at each other
"if you don't mind of them turning into human then I strongly recommend you both try to revive them as humans"
the scientist gently dryed Behemoth and place them both back the delicate box
they closed the box, it woke Doppler and Pierre up, and they tipped it to the duo
"thank you scientist, we will follow your suggestion"
the duo instantly became strong again, like they didn't just cried for 5 minutes
and scientist is quite dumbfounded
"uhh... GOOD LUCK TO YOU BOTH!!!"
and the duo ran out the booth to find the human revival scientist
Human revival lab booth, 11:19pm
the scientist got confused at first on why two people suddenly rushed to their booth direction, but then it hit them that their twin had contacted them before they came
"uhh, my name is Doppler and here is my partner, Pierre-"
the both rushed in with the scientist
the room here looks more like a biology lab than the monster lab
"no need to introduce yourselves, I heard it all from my twin, hand me the box now"
the scientist instantly reached out to Pierre
Pierre freezed, he holded himself at the monster booth just to stay strong for Doppler, his vision now is full of uncertainty
Doppler interlaced Pierre hands gently, and he turned his head to her direction
"don't worry suga, I am sure that they can save them both this time"
after Doppler words, he lend the delicate box to the scientist
her eyes woke him up from fear
"thank you you two, let me begin with the revival"
"lets do Nighty first, since his shadow core is gas"
the scientist gently placed Nighty at a petri dish
"now, let me slide this perti dish in the cell machine"
this scientist never narrates, but because their twin and let them know that they look like stressed parents with their kids, so they just did it anyways
the oh jolted both Doppler and Pierre
"NIGHTY IS STILL THERE!!!"
the scientist can't believe that they saw a living soul in a shadow core
"now I need to grow it a body..."
the scientist turned to the duo
and before I can start, I need you two stem cells
Pierre and Doppler looked at each other and "huh?" at the same time
"oh- the stem cell helps them to grow their human body"
"is it okay if I extract some?"
they both gave a stern look
"go ahead, anything for them"
and the scientist started to extract their stem cell, thanks to technology the process is quick as the scientist could
and the stem cell extraction is done
"now, I'm mixing both stem cells from you both so that each of them will grow to even stronger humans"
they mixed both stem cell together and split it in half
they placed the stem cell on the left inside the insert hole
"now... can you two give me a description on how Nighty looks like?, I want to make sure that I can capture his monster essence on the human body"
Doppler and Pierre eyes shined
"well, he is a male, and his is a shadow overlord"
"he has nice physiques on his monster form, but despite that, he still kind of childish, he once stole a teddy from a toy shop!"
"and he speaks like a goth"
the both said line by line
"so, will it be fine if his body is a 14 years old teen? Since that is his mental age..."
"anything is fine, just make them come back to life!"
the both spoke at the same time
"and before I start, what color are his eyes?"
"well, let me begin on his body forming"
the scientist typed something and the machine started to grow a body around the shadow core
"now, lets move on to Behemoth"
he gently picked up Behemoth pebble
and placed it in a beaker
"sorry, I have only one petri dish"
and placed the beaker inside the cell machine
"great news, Behemoth is also there"
the two finally calmed down
they placed the stem cell on the right inside the insert hole
"now, let me ask about Behemoth-"
Doppler and Pierre immediately starts to describe Behemoth
"oh, Behemoth is also a male, and he is a lava rock monster"
"he is the largest among us, he has his magma all over his body with his rocks"
"his English is not that good-"
"yeah, and he also can crush anything"
"oh and last one, he follows both of our orders"
the scientist got taken aback
"wow... so, a mental age of a 6 years old...."
the scientist went back to typing and the machine started to grow body around the pebble
"we have to wait for a while for the human body to form, you two can go grab something to eat in a meanwhile"
Doppler is staring at the cell machine generating Behemoth body while Pierre is starting at the cell machine generating Nighty body
"since you both are not hungry, then I wanted to share my story here..."
the both looked at the scientist
"I once had almost lost my twin, after they saved me from a explosion, they are left with just a core that represented them, but I did not give up on them, I tried everyway to revive them, but at the end, my biology masters did the trick, my idea of turning them into a human like me is successful, they are the one that you went to first"
the room went quiet as the sound of nerves connecting is on the air
"I hope my story could motivate you both, and maybe can let you both to eat lunch, I'm hungry!"
the duo went out the booth, found lunch, and went back the booth to eat
after everyone is done with lunch, the scientist sat back and watched with the duo
at this point, the adrenaline in Doppler and Pierre body faded, now they are both sleeping in the lab
the scientist looked at them and turned to the cell machines, the machines are done building their body and now is building their head
"Doppler, Pierre, wake up!!!"
the scientist woke them up
something fascinating happened
the very core and pebble that is left for Behemoth and Nighty split in half and the other half went from their heart to their brain, and it shined off their powers colors
Doppler eyes landed on Behemoth pebble splitting in half and the body started to glow in his orange
Pierre eyes landed on Nighty shadow core splitting in half and the body started glowed dark purple
after the glow faded, the cell machine completed the human building
Nighty is the first one to open his eyes, he looked at his surrounding and then looked at his hands
and then the cell machine opened the door for him
both Doppler and Pierre eyes widened with shock, especially Pierre
his eyes traveled to Pierre, their gaze meet
"Why are you looking at me like that Pierre?"
Pierre froze, because Nighty looked exactly like him, but younger
Pierre hand went to touch Nighty's face
"you look just like me...., Nighty...."
Nighty asked with the same voice that he had when he is still a shadow lord
"without my armor plate...."
"and despite having this new body, its actually dark like how I used to be!"
The scientist suddenly spoke
"to surprise you both, I had slightly edited their DNA to look like their non human selfs, so Nighty skin is darker than you both because he is a shadow lord before, and also, his eyes glow in the dark!"
Suddenly, Behemoth voice can be heard from behind, the door opened for him
"Why is Behemoth child sized?"
both Doppler and Pierre eyes widened with shock again, especially Doppler
As soon Behemoth eyes locked onto Doppler, the flashback of where Doppler patted his head when he got the here present and gift present confused flashed on his mind
Doppler lowered herself to Behemoth eye level and patted his head like that time
"and also for Behemoth, his skin would be super rough and strong because of his non human body"
The scientist also suddenly spoke
A sudden voice can be heard coming in
It's the monster scientist barging in
"yup twin, it's successful, look at Behemoth and Nighty"
He monster scientist looked at Behemoth and Nighty, and then to Doppler and Pierre
"Yes dummy, I need stem cells form them to construct their body, like how I extracted mine to save you???"
"oh yup, I forgot I'm sorry"
The monster Scientist crouch on eye level to Behemoth and Nighty
"well you two, it's going to be hard to adapt to this new body, but once you nailed it, life is going to be easy and your soul is going to be more grateful"
The two felt a wave of emotion and nodded
"Thank you, scientists, for saving my teammates"
"Nah, it's nothing, so spend your life together happily"
And The Doom Syndicate left the villain fest to rechange, promising each other that they will come to villain fest to have fun that they never had before
