Tony: what're you watching Pete?
Peter (fully focused on the video and nodding along as if in a lecture):
Alright, so I watched Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate.
The film started, but... it honesty wasn't so terrible as what they had sold me? The retcons were there but they still kinda made sense if you squinted, it was still incredibly bad, but I kinda enjoyed it. And the whole dehydration gun thing is given an explanation later in the film... kinda? That the villains always stick together. Anyways, still incredibly bad, but not horrible. The kid wasn't as prevalent as I had expected, so that was one good thing.
By the middle of it, I think the sheer overabundance of puns finally got to me, and I started to dislike the film. I started to see big cracks and clichés and stuff. It felt like the plot was cracking, it had been working kinda well to me until then.
And by the last quarter (I think it was at the scene in the alley), I had completely lost it. I was going insane with how bad it was. I just couldn't anymore, stuff didn't make sense, everyone was out of character with no character development from the previous film, bad rule of drama everywhere, why was the watch used only at the final fight for like three seconds, did the city fall for longer than the time it took to rise up (and laws of physics while it was falling hello??), how did throwing tennis balls at the villains with superhuman abilities actually work, I just- no. And the puns wouldn't stop coming.
No no no no no.
No.
Oh god no.
And I lost it even more when Machiavillain appeared. Not about the guy appearing and claiming that he taught Megamind about villainy (nope, retcon), I had full spoilers about the film after all, but because the guy had heterochromia.
And to be exact, glitched-eyes-configuration Caine from Episode 8. Red and Blue.
Yeah, I can't make this up.
Me watching Megamind 2 trailer:
I asked an AI text generator to come up with an idea for megamind 2
It basically gave me the exact same stuff we saw in the hideous trailer
This is QUITE LITERALLY WHAT WE SAID WOULD HAPPEN

Re-watched megamind and decided to draw our evil queen cause she's fire! Evil Roxanne rules! XD
Actually, the Megamind sequel should have been about Megamind becoming a science teacher at his "Shool," and trying to stop Metro Man's cousin (a parody of Supergirl) from becoming a supervillain.
Silly character waisted in such a suck ass show... So I'm re-proclaiming him as my oc/j
