“You already admitted it yourself: Your heart is not one of violence.” 

“And if I get scared along the way?”

“You will, without a doubt. Unless fear runs through your veins, you cannot hope to master Courage.” 

“Were you scared?”

“Yes. But that does not matter. You must go.”

“Wait, just…one more question.”

“Make it fast.”

“What of your dreams? What if I cannot escape fear when I sleep?”

“Elder?”

“Yours is the way of Courage. With that comes a vicious, pervasive fear. My child, you must understand this.”

“I understand.”

“It is so strong you may not be able to sleep.”

“It is so strong you may not be able to speak.”

“Well…I suppose I would not want anyone else to go through this. I will manage.”

Our theme song is “Deja Vu” by Mort Garson, off the album Ataraxia.

I’ve loved Mort Garson’s stuff for years, and have long wanted to use one of his jams as a theme song for something. I was worried I’d get beaten to the punch, because I’ve heard the title track off his album Plantasia on a few projects, most notably the Lil Bub web series. When we got the idea to do a D&D podcast, using a Mort Garson song made sense; a lot of his catalog is kind of creepy, in a circuitous pump-up kind of way.
