hi, Holy. I can imagine you sometimes want to talk or write about other things too, and since you like KOM so much, I figured I’d give it a try
1. do you have any KOM theories you would like to share with us? :3
2. your Prieston drawing looks hot! 🥵 I wouldn't mind some Prieston fanfic from you or any other character 👀 or maybe just a tiny snippet? what do you think Prieston would say if we asked him what he personally desired? like, I'm just a ruler who wants to serve her people… if you know what I mean 😏
that's all. hope you and Blastic have a nice weekend!
Aww, thank you! 💜 I'm glad you liked the Prieston drawing. You will find more of him in pipi's style below 👇
But first:
1. I'm not really good at coming up with theories; the closest thing I can do is speculate or ramble, so that's what I'll do~
So, Crownus is still the biggest mystery in the game so far. All we really know is that he was tyrannical and had a silver tongue. Wizzy calls him a liar. Jestyn's relationship with him is described as "terrible" and "complicated" and he outright calls him a traitor. Prieston found him "interesting" and seemed fascinated by him. Knighter still hasn't fully come to terms with what Crownus did and can't even find the words to describe him. What's strange is that the main cast sometimes talks about him on Tumblr as if he's somehow still around. Sure, they mention his death, and Jestyn was very likely the one who killed him, but the secret ending in the game makes me wonder if things are really that simple. After all, if the player names MC "Crownus," they can end up being possessed by him. That makes me wonder whether saying his name might actually be dangerous. There are plenty of old superstitions about summoning the dead by speaking their names too often, and we know whatever lives inside those puppet bodies isn't exactly human. So who knows what happens to them after death?
We've also been told that Crownus will appear in the game at some point. Naturally, we assume that'll be a flashback scene. But what if it isn't? That would definitely mean quite a bit of chaos, lol.
Another question I've had for a long time is: what happened to all the humans who worked at the theater? Nobody really seems to ask about them. I find it hard to believe there were no human employees. If there were, that would mean they knew the puppets could move and talk. Unless, of course, the person who created the puppets also built and ran the theater and wasn't human either. That raises another question: did the audience know the puppets were alive? Or did they assume they were just people wearing costumes? Since the game is supposed to be mascot horror, I could see it going either way. So far, we haven't seen any evidence that the puppets massacred humans in the past, but that doesn't mean it never happened. And if it did happen, I imagine Crownus would have been the one giving the orders. Maybe he eventually started treating the human staff as his subjects, and unsurprisingly, they didn't appreciate that. Jestyn said Crownus was the kind of ruler who decided what he deserved.
Tyrants are driven by self-interest. They crave power, control, and authority over everyone around them. That's why one thing I find particularly interesting is the popularity poll of the puppets. Crownus wasn't even the audience's favorite. He wasn't anywhere near the top. Jestyn held first place, followed by Knighter and then Wizzy. I've always wondered whether that bothered him. Did it make him angry? Did he start making plans to change that? After all, he was the king. Why wasn't he number one? From his perspective, that probably should have been the natural order of things. I imagine Crownus a little like Scar from The Lion King: a ruler who wanted to be untouchable, adored by everyone, and surrounded by luxury, while never believing he should actually have to earn any of it.
And somehow, he still managed to inspire loyalty. We've already been told there are puppets who won't like MC. My guess is that some of them would rather see them leave the theater entirely. If that's true, they could very well be Crownus sympathizers. Something else that caught my attention is the fact that Crownus's chambers are the one place Jestyn absolutely refuses to let MC enter. That's incredibly suspicious. Sooner or later, I have a feeling we're going to end up going in there anyway, whether Jestyn approves or not. There might even be some sort of basement hidden beneath the theater—a place where abandoned puppets have been left behind. Puppets that no longer have a role to play. The kind you can't really reason with anymore because all they want to do is kill you.
Either way, there's still a lot left to uncover. Do you peeps have any KOM theories or wild speculation of your own? Feel free to share them in the comments :) <3
2. Now, here is my attempt at writing dialogue that Prieston might say during your very first meeting, as you ask your question~ (read from top right to left) I hope you like it 💜
