( he’d made himself a promise to protect her , he’d failed it seems and he can’t deal with that . ) the moment she’s in his arms , he’s settling and the fury calms because she’s right there ---- nothing more can happen , not with him around . his lips find their way to press against her hair , to comfort , his repressed feelings for her peaking through with his fierce loyalty . ‘ hey , they’re not going to get away with this okay ? if you want me to hunt them down , i will . tell me what you want me to do , and i’ll do it baby . ’ his words are murmured softly as he holds her close .
