sometimes i remember that the sarafan leuitenants all died very suddenly, all at once, at presumably very young ages. it kind of makes me sad to imagine how their families reacted
also moebius definitely used their deaths to try and further the sarafan before it eventually withered away
Consider that as far as the public knows, this was all the work of a single vampire. The slaughter is what Vorador became known for in the BO1 era. No amount of propaganda was going to keep this ship afloat if a single vampire can decimate both the Circle and the Sarafan's upper ranks in one night. If the Sarafan weren't already a massive institution entrenched in Nosgoth's nobility they likely would've collapsed overnight, but their ubiquity allowed them to limp on for a time.
