OH RIGHT… THAT WAS PROBABLY A GIVEN. And here she was thinking that she still appeared as BRIGHT and ENERGETICas she normally was. Either way, this really wasn’t the way to go… she shouldn’t be letting herself get to this state, especially at this age.
“Ehehehe… mah bad, bro.” Stating the OBVIOUS might have become a little habit on her part, or then again, she was just that EXHAUSTED. While a slightly embarrassed grin made its way onto her face, hands would then move to rest behind her back as she glanced up to him, the moment he brought himself closer to her eye level.
“Mm, ‘fraid naht. Erry one ah knows pretteh much back at home. In da LAND of the RISING SUN.” … But ADVENTURE had beckoned to her, telling her that there was still so much more to be seen outside her little village… outside Japan itself. And while she wasn’t all prepare in terms of how she should have gone about this, so it would appear that FORTUNE would still remain on her side, “Though… ah do sorta know A FEW FOLKS dat are frum here.”
“Ah– a-are ye sure, bro?” That definitely seemed like the BEST OPTION, right then. If she was able to get a little rest right now, perhaps she would have a better chance of finding her way after. Right now, she really was in no STATE OF MIND to get around, “A-Ah’d appreciate dat…”
“...The Land of the Rising Sun?” The young man tilted his head, quickly glancing to the side as he searched his memory. That was the archipelago to the east, wasn’t it? He hadn’t traveled there yet—considering the distance he would have to venture from the west to the eastern provinces in order to get to the coast, then the time traveling by ship to get to the islands, he figured a journey there would be much too out of the way, only further complicated by the land’s current divided state. To think that this girl had completed such a voyage, and alone, was truly remarkable. Yet he couldn’t fathom why she would travel so far without any company. “You’re here all by yourself, without a guardian or parent of sorts? Doesn’t your family worry about you?”
Concerned eyes looked back at the girl, gleaming with disbelief, holding her gaze for several heartbeats. However, he remembered how exhausted she must be, and with a surprising, hurried jolt, he shed the leather pack from his back, removing one of the sleeping rolls attached to its side. “No wonder you are so tired,” he remarked softly, unwrapping the rope around the bundle. “You must have incredible strength to come all this way by yourself, and on so little sleep! I can’t imagine how drained you must feel right now.” With quiet sounds, the cloth unrolled with a gentle push, flattening out ahead of him. “I hope for now, this will suffice?”
