I've really had enough of my teachers giving us these articles to read about technology and bringing social issues along with them. CMON, REALLY? Have you noticed how all of these articles are being written by people over 25? It’s because there’s a whole generation now that uses cell phones and since they didn’t grow up with this kind of technology, it’s all of the sudden a bad thing. I read an article my teacher is making me do an essay on that said, “Every technology asks us to confront  human values”(NYTimes). Can we please reread this sentence Every technology asks us to confront  human valuesEvery technology asks us to confront  human valuesWow, did you forget about cash registers, calculators, projectors, alarm clocks, and about 4 million other types of products that involve technology in their production? I’m just blown away at how relentless these people are. Heck, I see my parents on their phones at social events more than me. I actually had to tell my dad how rude he was when his own brother was at our house and was trying to tell a story, and my dad was unresponsive, so he gave up. How hypocritical is that? They tell me “Your generation is always enveloped in your phones”. Well guess who raised my generation?All in all, technology and the internet bring people together when they aren’t all physically there. People use Skype to talk to their loved ones overseas who’re serving in the military, text with their best friends and call their family whenever they want. This will never be more bad than it is good. Technology has saved lives.
