Man, that would be so true. I'll draw this definetly but it would go like this basically:

David is a stalker but like, in denial. His mission is to "save" Max but his way of doing things is shaaaaady

He is doing the stalking and all but he still keep the daily contact with Max. With discord, of course, but also daily calls and few snaps send back and forward. I'd imagine them playing roblox and peak, the latter especially with the whole camping aesthetic and teamwork. He is that 48 year old lady from that meme, as he would also hang out with Max's other game friends. Just to get to know them! Totally!

Him keeping track of Max is motivated by his idea of being the good role model to that kid, buuuuuut the boundaries keep being broken and the line between the online bf and the adult gaming buddy is blurry.

He would definetly keep track of the times when Max logs on in order to be more discreet with his stalking. But also he would make Max's life a bit better by bringing him gifts to his house after reading through the kid's vent channel rants. That, with his perverse thoughts, would make him have a vibe of a well-meaning groomer.
