I honestly have no clue. Growing up I was very artistic. I wanted to be an artist. I really love the pottery wheel. Maybe some sort of expressive art teacher. Something where there isn't a right or wrong outcome. Just do what makes you happy.

Getting ready for my big littles 8th birthday

Little miss turned 5 months yesterday! She can roll across an entire room, she has a second tooth on the cusp of coming through, and she’s trying to form her mouth to say da-da when I show her his picture but it comes out more like “ddddbbbbppptttt”😆
Her ped told us we could start baby oatmeal now so I went and got some today. She made some pretty interesting faces, but didn’t seem turned off by it. She was doing a really good job of swallowing too.
She ate a few spoonfuls and then she nursed for a little. She slept a full two hours from 12-2 when normally she’s only down for about 45-1hr. I kept checking the video monitor and even went upstairs to physically look at her because she hadn’t moved from the position I laid her down in. I guess that oatmeal did her in 😆
So I almost had a fucking heart attack this morning. I got a call from the school saying Madison was absent. I called my mom to find out wth. She asked me if I was joking. She said they took the puppy with them this morning and was having a little bit of an issue with him at the gate (he’s not the best leash walker yet. He’ll just plop down.) so some lady offered to take her in. I hung up on her and called the school. They said again that she was absent so I told them to call the class room. I was on hold for like 3 or 4 minutes freaking the fuck out. It turned out being the teachers fault. She marked her absent on accident. 😡😭
I then had to tell my mom, and I don’t know why, to never just pass her off to some random fucking lady ever again. Like wtf was she thinking.
Ultimately it’s the teachers fault but holy shit.
We added a little extra love to our family yesterday! Meet Jackson! He’s an 8 week old Lab Pit mix. My realtors messaged me the day before yesterday saying her son was getting ready to have a military move and because of his rank, he can’t keep him. E5 and below have to live in the barracks unless they’re married and no animals are allowed in the barracks. My mom is at home with him currently. I finish up with externship on Monday, so I’ll be able to spend more time with him. He’s the cutest! Although I’m pretty sure she lied to me about him being house broken 🙄 He also hasn’t been to a vet yet, so no shots or anything. That’s next on the to-do list. He’s learning how to use the dog door, so that’s a plus. Benny and Maggie are doing great with him. The cat thinks we’re all assholes and refuses to come downstairs, so when he’s not sleeping he just cries all day long 😑 I’m excited that he’ll be able to grow up with Madison and Charlie!

Man. So Madison and I learned a new checkers game together this evening called Fox and Geese. The red pieces are the geese and the black piece is the Fox. The goal is for the fox to make it to the other side and win, or the geese win by trapping the fox in any way to where it can’t move. The geese can only move forward diagonally, but the fox can move forwards and backwards diagonally and there’s no jumping allowed. She’s legitimately kicking my ass. 9 time champ over here AND she’s talking trash 🤣
This image is just the cutest. It’s the strangest thing to all of a sudden have a little person that you connect with so strongly after just meeting them. Then it feels like they’ve been with you all along 😍

I’m still not quite sure who told her she could grow, cause I didn’t authorize this shit.
Last weekend Madison, Charlie and I took a road trip to Las Vegas for a baby shower. Saying that I will never travel long distance in a car with Charlie by myself is not an understatement.
Here’s the text I sent Mark that day...
“She started fussing so I pulled over at a rest stop to change and feed her. Got her changed, she ate for maybe 5 minutes and didn’t want anymore. She kept staring at everything and not wanting to eat so I burped her and but her back in her seat. About 10 minutes down the road and in the middle of fucking nowhere she freaks out. Like ear piercing crying and screaming. So I find another rest stop close by but go figure, it’s closed for repairs. Meanwhile, madisons in the back crying because she thinks Charlie is LITERALLY going to die from being hungry and she has to pee. So there’s a shell station 2 more miles passed the busted rest stop so we make it there. Since the rest stop is out of order, the shell station has a line wrapped around the building for the bathroom. I hop in the backseat and try to feed Charlie. She lets out a huge burp. I’m like oh, okay, she had a ton of gas. Tried to feed her still and her attention is on everything else. If she was hungry, she’d eat right? Madison ended up peeing into my Starbucks cup and then we got back on the road. Same. Fucking. Story. Charlie flips out 5 minutes down the road and there’s nowhere to turn around. LUCKILY there was a brake check station not far from the shell station. We are stopped here now and she’s finally eating.

It was so much worse on the way back. When we left to go there, it was 7:30 and we got there a little after 1. That drive without stops is a tad bit over 4 hours. The next day on the way back we left at 1:30 and didn’t get home until 9:30pm. After getting the girls to bed, the wine I had never tasted so good.
That trip was a shit show lol.
A girl in my FB group for August moms is making these and I ordered one. It shipped and I can’t wait for it to get here! 😆

Charlie finally rolled from front to back this morning in her crib! She’s been going back to front since 3 months but had no interest in being on her stomach back then. I’m so happy I got to see it!
Charlie cut her first tooth!! Like, who told her she could grow teeth?? 4 months seems too early, especially since Madison didn't cut hers till 7 months, but I know its normal.
Just.....stop growing kid!!! I just had you yesterday for crying out loud!

I’ve been so busy and so tired. I try to remind myself to post but then I forget. I feel bad about not keeping up with my little mumblr challenge thing.
Ugh. Oh well. I’ll get to it.
Charlie rolled over three days ago!! Wednesday the 29th from back to front. Which is scary because she can’t roll from front to back yet so when she does roll, she gets stuck.
She scared the shit out of me the yesterday. I heard her talking in her crib over the monitor, normal babbling..then she started sounding a little more frantic. Not crying, but just audibly more agitated. I went to check on her and she had rolled over, puked, and was stuck on her belly. She can lift her head when she’s on her stomach so she wasn’t smothering herself, more like bobbing her head up and down, but it was still scary. Her face and the side of her head was slathered with goopy spitup. 🤮
She’ll be 4 months this month on the 19th. Time is flying by!

Little miss had her 5th annual North Pole Breakfast this morning! I do one every December 1st. When I woke her up this morning, I told her she had a visitor downstairs. She said, “Ooohhh if it’s Jingle, I’m going to be SO happy!” 😆

For a boy...Mark is dead set on his middle name being Dez....not sure why....but it’s not terrible. I like Phoenix...he doesn’t. Others I had on the list were Mason and Hunter.
