It came up at the very end of Tokoyami’s internship with Hawks’ hero agency, only moments before the young man left him. They’d gotten on the topic of his classmates as they walked to the train station, and Tokoyami had said -

“Todoroki is quiet, though I get the feeling he doesn’t want to be.”

Keigo smiled and saw Tokoyami off like nothing was wrong, while he fought the urge to weep. It wasn’t just the name, though hearing it still made Keigo want to curl up and cry. It was more that Touya had been the same - always on the brink of saying something, something important, but silencing himself. He never said it and then it was too late to say anything at all.

They’d dated while Keigo was training with the Hero Commission. After a year of being together, Keigo was sure Touya was the man he’d marry.

Then he died.
