“The significance of Print, Broadcast, and New media“
The effective use of three various forms of media are interconnected and their existence has helped in the acquisition of information. One cannot exist without the others. The most notable form of media is New Media which includes blogs, podcasts, wiki pages, social networking sites and mobile phones. New Media has emerged as a result of the technological revolution which began in the 1990s and continues to this day via 3G networks and social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. That means that many of the traditional types of media are no longer significant because they are being replaced by these new forms. However, these three forms of media are different in their abilities to record information effectively and transfer it to other members on a limited basis. Each form of this genre has some limits which are inherent due to its specific capabilities, but they are viable for some purposes as well as applications that don’t suit the other two forms at all.
There are three main types of media which are print, broadcast, and new media and how these different forms of media are interrelated and the development of other forms has helped in the acquisition of information. New media plays a vital part in today's society; it enables us to communicate with others far away at the click of a button. Broadcast refers to radio or television programs where message content can be transmitted over airwaves through the airwaves to the public at large. The emergence of print during medieval times greatly improved literacy, assisted government regulation, facilitated better resource-sharing among communities, advanced education by providing more opportunities for learning through greater accessibility to texts. Today's world is an entirely different place from back then due to this advancement being incorporated into so many aspects of society.
