season of rest
Greetings from your neighborhood farmers of York City!
As you may or may not know, our farm operates March-November, meaning there are a few months that we are not active out in the fields; as the earth goes to bed for the wintry months, so do we! But only in the sense of activity, as this off season provides us the time for much needed rest and solitude to cherish all the blessings of the past year and relish the excitement of what is to come. In the few short weeks since shutting down all operations, we have been meeting with countless folks in our community to make the connections we believe will help further our mission and increase our impact across York City. We couldn’t be more thankful for these forming partnerships and anticipate the formation of even more.
This post is coming to you from our new blog that we will be using to post recipes, updates, cooking tips and much more in the new year! We hope that you bookmark it, follow it, to keep up to date on all we have to share. Blog posts will always be shared to our social media so you can easily access posts that way. This blog may also detail promotions or deals, to be redeemed at our market stops - another reason to keep in tune ✌️
Aside from blogging and keeping you informed through social media, 2020 brings a lot of newness and expansion for us as an organization. We are excited to give you good bits of news as we continue into the new year and we also hope to continue to inspire you to meet your neighbor, eat your veggies, and value health, for what a gift it is!
As we ponder all we have to be thankful for during the holidays, we hope you are able to find the joy that this season brings and share that joy with those around you.
Happy Holidays from York Fresh Food Farms! ✨
