Umm, a lot of it depends on where you live to be honest. So I’m going to answer this with the assumption you live in or near a city.

Follow bands online - especially the smaller bands in your area

Look for advertisements in local bars, newspapers, libraries, or flyers on the street

Talk to people - if you are new to the scene, other punks are your gateway. They will know more about your local scene. Places punks also tend to frequent: bars, gay bars, thrift stores, tattoo shops, small businesses, clubs, abandoned buildings. Find people and talk to them

Look up bookings online. If you are looking for bigger shows, concert venues will usually tell you whose booked when if you want to buy tickets

Pay attention to any businesses that have live music - they aren’t guaranteed to be punk, but music is music
