It doesn't matter what anime it is for the actual point, but it's especially wild to me because this is Bocchi the Rock too...it's a very popular anime...it's about a girl with social anxiety joining a band and its big appeal is it depicts social anxiety in a dramatized way that's relatable to a lot of people, especially neurodivergent people,and has wild and funny animation sequences. A TON of people watched this.
(it's not particular sexualized either) also the character they're showing in the poll was an adult...she wouldn't appeal to pedophiles...it's so funny they chose her instead of the actual high schoolers who are the main characters...
also like. Do you know how many people watch anime and read manga now. It's incredibly popular! Kids are always in the manga section of Barnes and Noble. Do you know how common this kind of art style is in anime? Pretty common! Not to mention how racist it is to assume an entire artistic medium from another country is inherently pedophilic.

The anime is literally included in a lot of lists for feminist-friendly anime because it depicts women and girls with a lot of depth and doesn't have anything gross or misogynistic in it. It's extremely well regarded.
It's art style is also like. women do actually look their age. Look at Reki. Her character design is so good.
