creators need to learn to use the block button. boundaries does not mean you get to impose anything on other people. it means you are setting a boundary where you will disengage or block someone if they engage in certain behavior. you are the one looking up fan content. fan works are not for you. they are for other fans. you can simply choose to not seek it out. learn to block tags.

i say this all as i was personally responsible for a sizable chunk of the “2019 mcytblr drama” that everyone always talks about. i was a dumb teenager who thought it was my duty as a fan to “protect” my favorite creators. but no, creators are grown adults. if you need random teenagers to police what other people on the internet do instead of curating your own feeds, something is seriously wrong.

In 2021, my friend played a Pokémon Crystal rom hack called Pokémon Fool's Gold. He played it long enough for me to draw some sprites based on its reimagined Pokémon designs. No one asked me to do this but I thought the sprites could be improved.

The Bulbasaur evolution line in Fool's Gold has the Grass/Fire typing. They have peppers growing on their backs. I changed it to the cannabis plant instead. My friend enjoyed the new design. I like the green and orange!

I did the Pidgey line second. Its typing is Fighting/Flying. Each evolution's original sprite had stick legs. Mine are basically pigeons with missing toes. (Poor things.) My Pidgeot's design was inspired by the pro wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his fringe jackets. My friend is the wrestling fan, not me.

All due respect Mr. Joy of Painting but that saguaro is ILL. That thing is on death's door. At LEAST 175 years old. He describes it as a big one that got a lot of sun and nourishment and like no I don't think it did!! I think it's fucking dead, dude!!! They only look that skinny when they're about to DIE.
