KIND REGRETS | Ep. 2 – The Name: Identity, Ego Trip & Graffiti as a Game
"The name is the face in the game of graffiti."
In the world of graffiti, you don't have a face - you have a Name (Reputation). In this episode, I break down another of the core mechanics of graffiti culture: the name. As an identity, an avatar in "the game of graffiti".
More in this episode:
Why anonymity makes the name the main character in "the game"
Why reputation often matters more than style
Graffiti is an an ego trip & how to escape that
Ego, narcissism, and why there is a competition in street culture
Graffiti as memory, immortality, and grief
How to Kill the ego (name) and take responsibility
When graffiti "stops being graffiti"
The role of intention, ethics, and mentorship

Summary of all the concepts laid out in Episode 2: The Name. (8 min read) here.
In the first episode of my podcast i presented the Archetype of the THE SPOT CHAD & SPOT SUCKER [Patent pending].
Two characters that stand on the 0% and 100% of the spectrum of effort.
I went a bit further visualising and preparing the paperwork for Encyclopedia Graffich.
The graffiti world is not a democracy; it is a meritocracy based on effort. This spectrum of effort creates a stark divide between the two polar extreme type of writers on the “scale”:
1. THE SPOT CHAD (THE KING) - Represents the 100% effort. This is the leader, the boss.
He treats graffiti like a military operation. He recce his environment, analizes the risk/benefit and uses technology and skills to grant access to complete the “mission”.
2. THE SPOT SUCKER (THE PARASITE) - is an "animal that thrives into the caves and the dark part of the graffiti culture."
The Spot Sucker possesses a parasitic mentality. He purposely avoids to learn and use the vision, effort, skills and the “work ethic” to find his own spots. Instead, he waits for a King to open difficult location, and then to sneak in. He walks in the footsteps of others, using the path they cleared, to place his “work” next to the “masterpiece”.
Excerpt from Episode 1 of Kind Regards podcast, in discussion of the effort invested in illegal graffiti.

Episode 1 - Out Now!
YouTube | Spotify
In the first episode Boris is talking about:
“The Spot”, as a stage, where the performer (a graffich writer) performs (write).
Why the location is a critical, competitive arena for every writer.
The true cost and meaning of a “good spot”. How writers discover, scout, open and protect locations.
Presenting a concept of the spectrum of King & Toy. (The Spot Chad vs. Spot Sucker)
The Paradox: Why a culture built on disrespect has strong unwritten rules, and what could happens when your vandalism get vandalized by vandals.
KIND REGRETS speaks of a closed, obsessive urban subculture, finally translated into language that anyone can understand. For over two decades, Boris has lived inside this parallel world: participating, observing and documenting. Now, he transmits it through these unscripted, unfiltered monologues. Breaking the concepts, meanings, taboos and unwritten, contradictory codes of a culture and lifestyle that rarely explains itself.
Each episode is a single story, a single concept, told with sharp sarcasm, unfiltered opinion, and a knowing smile.
It's made for the curious who recognises true dedication, and for “true ones” who needs someone to say exactly what everyone is avoiding to.
Above all, KIND REGRETS is an open door into a world that has always kept its secrets.
Hosted by Boris.
Episode 1 Summary
[8 Min Read]
Read here the article summary on the concepts discussed.
I can’t even wrap my head around the fact that I’m finally making this post. It’s been almost a decade. Years of planning, risking, writing, disappearing, and doubting.
I honestly don’t know what was harder: the actual missions, or trying to shape everything into one final piece. What began as a simple idea, to explore the Sofia Metro in a way no one ever had, slowly became something much deeper. A story about obsession. Rebellion. Escape. About holding on… and eventually, letting go. It got personal in ways I never expected. And honestly, it was never meant to be published. It was supposed to be private. Something to be kept between a small group of friends. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that in order to move forward, I need to let go of attachments.
This project isn’t really about graffiti or Urbex. It’s about something harder to define. Something that started as escape, and became a mirror. I’ve gained a lot, and lost even more. Yet nothing prepared me for the last two years. I made the choice to leave behind the new life I had struggled to build, to return to Bulgaria once and for all, to face it, to end it and to finally close this chapter.
I’ve lost count of how many times I wanted to give up. How many times I was ready to throw my laptop or hard drives out the window out of pure frustration. But somehow… here we are. I wrote a book… LOL
SOFIA METRO INSIDE OUT
There’s a lot more I want to say, but I’ll save it for later. Because this is only the beginning. I’ve been quietly working on the release behind the scenes for a long time now, and I truly hope it reaches the people it’s meant to reach. Until then, enjoy what me and Seco have prepared for you. We’re beyond excited to invite you to the events we’ve been planning:
May 31st - Sofia
June 7th - Berlin
June 12th - Athens
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey, underground and above. This is the most personal thing I’ve ever made.
More details soon, cya 🖤

“My new photobook tells the story of how i got into rappelling graffich. I have written extensively the physical and mental preparation of the experience and the key role of @rams_msk who mentored me on the final steps. We had an intense week of actions on the roofs and subway tunnels earlier this year, which were brilliantly documented with the help of @errorflict & @secooces
I have selected the best images for the publication, but we have tons of digital content that will be shared slowly here. Exclusive cuts will be posted on @thegrifters brand new Telegram Channel.
The collection has droped and you can pre-order the collector edition including signed print, larger signed prints and of course a simple copy of the book.
