As ya'll can tell not only do I write, but I draw as well. And this is from a scene in Hibiscus Flowers as Dusk Falls so Im only showing a but since it's yet to happen. Reader is going to have a design, looking similar to Link from LoZ in the final piece just to look like they belong in the scene and for that I do apologize.

“Shanks,” you softly laugh at that’s the thing he’s focused on. “Pay attention please,”

“Yes, okay I can do that,” he nodded, trying his hardest not to smile like the idiot he is.

You roll your eyes fondly at his antics as he resumes bringing you someplace.

“By the seas, okay so your father was being a dick and so I may have… said that I’d go back into Pangea Castle to ask for Shamrock's hand as the requirement to become a Devoted Blade so he isn’t able to say that I’m not worthy of the Figarland name nor his sons affection,”

Shanks opens a door and enters, pulling you in behind him. The heavy oak door shuts behind you as you glance around the giant room, noticing the large four poster bed with red silk pillow cases and a dark red quilt in the room with two end tables on either side and a desk. A fireplace sat on a wall with a couch and two chairs, a coffee table between the couch and the fireplace and a book shelf close by. There are also two large windows and two doors on either side of the room, leading to both the walk-in closet and bathroom respectively.

“Which is why Shamrock and I were arguing, I was pointing out how horrible of a father Garling is,”

You turn to face the red head, who is grinning at you and leaning against the wall with his shoulder bracing him as he watches you with a fond gaze.

“You proposed to my brother to piss off my father, after Shamrock didn’t expose you and lied to my father, which had pissed him off, argued about how shitty of a father Garling is and accepted my proposal,”

Shanks summed up and you nodded.

“And they.. Shit Y/n, Imu has his eyes on you now…” he frowns and straightens himself, to cross the room to you. Gently Shanks places his hands on your biceps, a frown still on his face, which is rather out of place on him. “How did you become an Admiral? Rayleigh and Shakky would tell anyone how,”

His voice is soft, full of concern and curiosity. You turn away from him, which causes him to say your name softer, with a tinge of fear.

“Let’s sit,”

“Y/n-”

“Please,”

He relents, and follows you to the sitting area. You sit on a chair as he sits on the end of the couch, close to you.

It was a random day aboard the Red Force, you've been with the crew for a while now- a couple of years at least. You didn't get many chances to speak with your Captain, mainly because you found him and the commanders to be intimidating. Closely knit and you happened to feel weird when you interacted with any of them, especially when they've been joking and teasing one another. On this particular day was like any other day, especially after sailing through one of the Grand Line's many random storms as you sailed through the Red Haired Pirates territory. Looking to your Captain and seeing him laughing loudly, watching him push his soaking hair back from his face as he sweeps his gaze across the deck of the ship, scanning to see how the rest of his crew was fairing. If any had slipped off during the chaos. It was then when you caught his gaze, where you noticed that just for a second you swear that his gaze softened just for a fraction of a second before carrying on. That is when you felt your cheeks flush and that your heart starts to beat faster. It doesn't matter if you were strong, or weak, skilled in any particular way or not, you had started to fall for your Captain. The man who often slept with women in particular more often than not, who enjoyed being free and not tied to anywhere- or anyone. You fell for a man you knew would never reciprocate wholeheartedly and with that knowledge you knew what you had to do to save your heart.

You had to leave the Red Haired Pirates.

It had hurt, leaving the crew and giving a flimsy excuse as to why you wanted to leave. Beckman had an idea as to why, and allowed you to leave- even if he was wrong as to why you left. You hadn't fallen in love with a villager and decided you couldn't bear being away from them, no you had fallen for your Captain but you wouldn't tell anyone that. You would be taking it to the grave. So imagine your surprise when a week after the crew left you spot a man who looked eerily similar to the man you loved walking through the town you decided to stay in, but with both arms instead of just his right one. He was colder, more refined than your old Captain. A man who would barely even glance at you, but he did. In fact he did a double take upon seeing you. Maybe it was because you didn't back down when he caught your eye the first time as he glared at everyone near him, like he was better than everyone. He had stalked up to you, curious as to who you were and why you didn't seem afraid of a God's Knight. That's when you learned that your Captain is a Celestial Dragon by blood, this man's younger twin brother. Shamrock, you learned, was the complete opposite of his brother but was also a horrible liar like Shanks. Maybe it was because you could convince yourself that your Captain cared for you at first, especially after Shamrock leaves and you snail the ship to inform them about Shamrock being there every time. But you've gotten them to stop coming around after the first few visits after Shamrock had left. You're feelings for Shanks didn't go away, but you allowed them to fade away into the background as the year passes.

It was during one of the latest visits from Shamrock that you started to fall for the so called God. He was sitting on your couch, lamenting about how annoying his recruits were- especially his two subordinates (read: friends) Gunko and Sommers actions while back in the Holy Lands, where you joked about how domestic this was that Shamrock looked at you in the last of the summers light, where he admitted that this became his home away from home. That was when you fell for Shamrock, the man who though that he was better than everyone in the Lower World until you showed him the relief of being free from responsibilities of being Commander of the God's Knights.

Who knew writing with a kitten in your lap would cause not only distractions but also typos? Like, sir I need you to go back to sleep so I can focus on this please and thank-you

Ngl having a forest fire close by is nerve-wracking. But at least I'm not close enough for an evacuation alert.

Ages don't match up guys. The math ain't mathing guys.

So as we know, when Ace dies he is 20 and is born a year and three months (fifteen months) after Roger is executed.

Pre-time skip and after his debut Shanks is 37.

That doesn't make sense when when it comes to Shanks and Ace's supposidly 20 year age gap.

Roger died Shanks was only fifteen, making him sixteen or seventeen at the latest when Ace was born, not 20.

37 - 20 is 17.
