* BEWARE / WOLF !

                         harry potter au  where the greyback family have always somewhat worshiped the fact that they're werewolves ,  viewing it as a gift rather than a curse .   so while mason wouldn't have been born one in this verse ,   he would have been   infected very early on   in life  (  not unlike remus ,  cause apparently turning children is a theme in this fam  )  and by his own parents ,  nonetheless .   mason being taught from a young age that werewolves are a   superior being   and him believing the hype .   him not quite understanding why he has to keep quiet about what he is until he starts going to hogwarts and learning about all the   horrible things   some werewolves have done ,   and the  even worse   things that have been done to werewolves ,  even the good ones ,   because of   prejudice and fear .   mason struggling with his pride and   who he really is   outside of his parents conditioning because the world keeps shouting that the wolf in him is   lesser   and that he should be ashamed .

                         i haven’t written an official post abt this yet ( i keep meaning to and meaning to and yet ), but let it be known, my portrayal of mason ?  he has intermittent explosive disorder,  adult separation anxiety  and  lowkey claustrophobia  (  namely the fear of rooms that don’t have a clear or easy escape  ).

                           OUCH !!    it seems he can’t pump the breaks fast enough to stop sneakers from sliding along damp grass and legs slipping out from under him.   GREAT.   falling on your face is never the ideal result in any situation,  especially  when you’ve got an audience.   this is what he gets for letting himself succumb to the canine urge to  chase squirrels  in the middle of the day.   he’ll push himself into a sitting position with as much dignity as he can muster.      ❛     ugh....   i’m good.   thank you.   just,  uh,  embarrassed more than anything,  really.     ❜
