"oh! new queer trans comic/show/media whatever that's so cool- why are there no black queer characters? and when there are black people why are they always not trans and side pieces for the white characters?"

i noticed that from indie queer projects that gain traction there lacks a heavy cast of people of color and in this case black characters that are shown an ounce of love. it's very rare to find black trans characters in these projects unless it's specifically made by a black person. it's just jarring to see considering that black/Hispanic trans women are big pioneers of the American lgbt movement.

i just... notice a lot of these queer indie creators always lack black casts members or when they do exist it's only a tokenized character that's most likely not even queer. it sucks cuz I met so many black trans people/trans people of color who vent about the same thing: feeling invisible in a lot of these arts. and when we make art of our own it's often overlooked (although I'm lucky in my case)

Any sort of household Improvement.#'Come brag on me.'#I means come look I cleaned/rearranged/did dishes/put away the laundry#and the scripted response is 'oh nice it looks SO much better in here now'#like my mom did this when we were kids.#'girls comr brag on the garage I finally organized it so I can get my car in there'#and we go and 'ooh' and 'aah' and tell her how nice it looked and how she did a good job#and we could have her 'come brag on' us for like doing the dishes or cleaning our rooms#I do it to my wife now too#it's a dialogue that means#'I did a chore and it feels like an Accomplishment even if it objectively wasn't a big thing. Please acknowledge this.'#and#'Wow you sure did do a thing. It has improved our material circumstance even if only in a small way. Thank you for doing it.'#like yeah scrubbing the pans is my Job and it's a Little Task but sometimes it feels like a Big Task#and it's nice to have an Accepted Script where I can just demand 'I have functioned as an independent adult praise me with great praise' - by @thepioden

Hate how much A Little Treat has infested me. Any small discomfort and I'm immediately like oooo maybe exchanging money for goods and services will fix this situation.

You don't even have to leave the house if you use the resources the library can provide electronically (Libby, Hoopla, etc.).

also important: I've gotten hate for expressing myself like this as a transmasc person but honestly I won't stop being myself and also won't stop being very sexually confident in myself and traits. I feel like other trans ppl especially transmascs know they can do what makes them happy

I live also to spite every reactionary right wing power. I gotta outlive them. it's easy to want to give up my mood swings make it hard but I gotta outlive this term and for the future, even if it's hard.

i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users

"why can't they just be friends?" not in the homophobic sense, but in the "in your need to center romance in everything you are missing the whole point of the media in question" sense

they used to make smackable technology. you used to be able to hit your tv when it didn't work good.

I miss when technology had real personality, instead of fake ones designed to generate lies and nonsense and spy on you.

And in these next 50 years you will eat so many delicious meals, laugh so many times with so many people you love, shout and scream and sing and cry and smile so hard your face hurts. And you will see such beautiful sunsets and feel fresh cold air on your face and feel warm and safe wrapped up in your favourite winter coat.
