"…..Yes?" A hesitant pause. "Wouldn’t…..wouldn’t you?"
This guy sure was weird. The sin bent down, staring directly into the redhead’s face as if he were a child. Before speaking, Ban brought his hand back up, grasping at the others hair once more. ”But I pulled you back up.” He stated, still tugging at his hair. “Doesn’t that count for anythiiiing?”
"C’moooooon Cock-e-oh-in, No hard feelings, right?♫”
Wow. Honestly not a big fan of how this guy is staring straight into his soul. With a deep breath, Mr. Social himself's just gonna step back, putting on his shades ad staring back at Ban with the most pleasant look he can muster, given the situation. That look wasn't pleasant at all, actually. Uncomfortable.
"It's..." Yeah. He probably should just give up now, there's no way this guy's gonna actually put the effort into getting his name right, after all. "You wouldn't have had to pull me up if you didn't do it in the first place..." A sigh. "But... It does count for something. I do owe you my life." As horrible as that sounded. God. "... By the way, your name is... Ban, right?"
Send me a △ and ask a really invasive question aimed at my character
They’ll have to:
Rate on a scale of 1-10 how much they don’t want to answer that question.
Answer that question.
"Ka….kako…kake..yin……..?" A pause. "What the fuck is up with your name."
The sin reached over, grabbing his….hair thingy…and gave it a few soft tugs as he questioned the other. “Startle you? What? What are you talking about? Are you sure th-“
"OH!" Ban unleashed the others hair upon remembrance. "Oh yeah. I got bored…Sorry ‘bout that cherry booooooy……♫"
"Kakyoin," he repeated. "Kah-kyoh-in. It's a perfectly normal name." A sigh. The stranger's lack of manners were almost sad, especially as he felt his hair being tugged at, like an infant tugging at something it wanted.
"S-Stop!!" Well, he couldn't exactly pull away like this, so he would only lean forward as Ban practically fondled his hair. Thankfully, the tugs only lasted just a few seconds, and Kakyoin was quick to recoil, arms crossed over his chest as he gave the sin an uncomfortable stare.
"Stop calling me that...!" For the first real bit of social interaction he had gotten in Hope's Peak, this was... unpleasant. Especially after the traumatic events just prior... "You nearly cause someone to drown because you got bored?!"
"Well I kinda saved you…didn’t I cherry boooooooy? Aren’t you gonna say thanks?♫”
"..." He did owe this man a thank you, didn't he? While he'd much rather never speak to him again...
At least he's wearing clothes now.
"... Please. My name is Kakyoin, Noriaki. I do owe you some gratitude, so... thank you. Did you really need to startle me like that, though?" He can still feel the blood in his lungs. Gross.

Culture was something that had interested Kakyoin for many years. In fact, he prided himself on being able to identify the customs of many cultures. Truly, it was a topic that he found much joy in. With his arrival on the island, it was clear to see that the world had suddenly opened up, to put it lightly. Many creatures out of myth could be found on the island, causing quite the conflict of interest, as he had witnessed on his first evening here.
With this being said, however, the youth found this subject rather captivating. His curiosity was piqued as creatures from lands that he had never even heard of began popping about, and he was quick to take to the library for further information. Even now, he was in awe as he stared at an informative piece of literature, one found in the nonfiction section that, to be honestly, could only seem entirely fiction.
Giant cannibals, lands from the future, even other words were prevalent in these works. Whatever situation Kakyoin had found himself in... it certainly was an interesting one. Even now, he stood in front of one of the many bookshelves that lined the library, a book in hand as he tried to make out what seemed to be... some sort of language. In his assumed solitude, he would even mouth and try to sound out certain characters-- until a footstep drew his attention.
Embarrassing.
Deep blues lifted to meet the gaze of a man just taller than he... when did he get here, Kakyoin wondered? The thought alone would fluster him. How long had he been standing there? For a young man who found social interaction so daunting, this was quite the predicament.
"... My apologies." The book would be snapped shut and returned to its home on the shelf. He was never good at this sort of thing, was he? "I... if you'll excuse me." And with that, he would begin to make an attempt to step past this odd stranger.
Kakyoin was a traveler. Ever since a young age, his family would bring him with them while they traveled the world. Egypt, Hong Kong... there were many places that the youth had been. In fact, he even recalled recent travels with a group of friends. India, Singapore... the list only grew and grew. Even now, however, Kakyoin could not say that he had ever been to the United States of America.
He was usually open to learning new things, to exploring new cultures and foods. Learning their traditions was something that Kakyoin was always inspired to do, however... he had stumbled upon something that even he, arguably the biggest culture geek on the island, couldn't understand.
Peanut Butter.
The student held the container in his hands, squinting at it and trying to grasp the concept of what was inside. ... Peanuts? Smashed up so finely that they created a paste? That's what he assumed, but... what was the use of this, even? He struggled to find an answer, before he heard footsteps in the kitchen. He was never really a social butterfly, but curiosity was a force that would knock down any obstacle between him and knowledge.
"... Pardon me," he began. Deep blues would flash to the... foreign-looking company. "Do you know what this is...?"
A student must always look like a student. This was one of Kakyoin's philosophies. However, in a tropical environment like Hope's Peak, this was an attitude that would, to put it lightly, bite him in the rear.
The islands were hot, the tropics humid, and even still, Noriaki Kakyoin refused to take off his uniform. Even now, as he staggered about, a hand pressed to his head in exhaustion, he wouldn't even relieve himself of his jacket.
Sunbathing, especially in his uniform, probably wasn't the best choice for someone of his stature. He struggled as he tried to head back to his dorm, leaning his weight against whatever he could. In an environment where he would prefer to isolate himself... this wasn't good, was it? With students already bloodthirsty enough, a weakened state was lethal, wasn't it...?
Just as that thought reached him, the worst possible incident happened. The youth found himself stumbling into another student, blue hues flicking up in a lagged action. For a moment, he looked confused as he tried to register the situation, before his lips parted.
"... E-Excuse me."
With that, Kakyoin stepped to move past the offended stranger. To get to the dorm or infirmary... that was his goal. He simply couldn't afford interaction. Not that he wanted it in the first place, regardless.
(turns)
It had only been a few days since his arrival. Little joy had been granted to him, especially with the general knowledge that the extraordinary were, apparently, unwelcome. With this in mind, however, Kakyoin was not one to hole himself up, though he isolated his heart. His body was one that craved the outdoors, to see what the world had to offer. In their confinement, Kakyoin would find a craving for exploration.
With this being said, the red-headed youth was quick to make his way to the park. Enchanted by its serene nature, he couldn't help but admit to himself that he was quite impressed that a literal murder school could house such lovely sights. The thing that would suit his fancy the most, however, was a simple organic feature. So simple, in fact, that many would laugh.
A cherry tree.
For the first time since his arrival, a smile would cross his features. Cherries were a favorite of his, and yet he dared not pick the fruits that this tree held. For one reason, and one reason only. He felt a pair of eyes on him, probably belonging to an individual wondering just how one could be so enamored by a simple tree.
The smile was wiped from his face, and Noriaki Kakyoin would turn to meet the same curious bystander that had demolished his peace of mind.
"... They're my favorite." His tone would contrast his body language. The voice of a confident young man was not one that could easily match with a boy that carried himself in an awkward manner. Wary of everyone and everything around him, Kakyoin hesitated. What else should he say...? "... I've... never seen a wild cherry tree."

Hope's Peak Academy... from what he's seen so far, he can only assume that there was a vicious bias against those with inhuman capabilities. People like himself. If word of his Stand were to break out... there was no way that someone of his stature could fight off a determined Sam Winchester.
... It's... like he had never met Jotaro and the others, was it? Where were they?
Maybe he was meant to be a lonely boy, after all.
