as we near the end of the year, we often make this kind of wish. “I want only good things to happen to me in the new year.” but if the sunny weather continues all the time the area will turn into a desert. snow and rain nourish the soil. without them, fruit-bearing trees can’t grow. so, when we’re making such a wish, how about we reword it slightly? “I want some good things to happen to me as well in the new year.” like this.
